I've put together what I believe to be a decent build for the money.  That being said, I'm open to opinions and suggestions!  Please let me know what you think.  I'd like to keep the price around $1000 but if there is something that would be worth the extra $, I'd consider it.

looks pretty good to me... I think you can find w10 home 64 cheaper elsewhere... I would get a higher capacity power supply, personally I would do a 650w but a 550w would be fine probably.

The stock amd cpu cooler will work fine if you dont overclock. if you think you might maybe then I would suggest an aftermarket cooler.

Yeah you can get win10 pro license from ecrater for about $10 or less - it's OEM so will tie to your mobo but at that price it doesn't need to be transferrable! Just make sure that it's a new license and not taken from scrapped PCs - those are still legal but I just don't trust that they are all genuinely scrapped!

The rest looks great, would cost a fortune here in the UK lol!

A 450W PSU will work. Looks like you'll be drawing around 350W on average with this build. You might consider a 650W if you're thinking of running an SLI, but the B series mobos don't support it anyways, so it's something that could wait for the future. In the meantime, you'll be good. It'll handle some more drives and RAM in the future with ease.

The Wraith cooler will be more than enough to run that 1600 at stock and while overclocked (albeit modestly, Ryzen doesn't overclock too well). It can handle up to 95W TDP, this CPU is 65W TDP.

I was going to suggest adding a case fan or two (Arctic Cooling or Cooler Master) to the price, but it's not a bad idea to put it together first and then decide whether the fan that comes with the case agrees with your ears or not.

I don't know about the Ripjaws V series memory. It's probably been fixed by now via UEFI updates, but I've heard it doesn't get along too well with Ryzen. It's profiles (XMP) are geared for Intel platforms, and has resulted in slower speeds or no post conditions for some.

Any reason for not getting Win 10 from 3rd party marketplaces like Kinguin or G2A? Kinguin has Home for $28 and Professional for $30. Plenty of keys on ebay for cheap as well.

Looks great,  would change that psu if you're gonna OC to those cheap yet good Evga 550w bronze, i would find a 10$ key, lot of win7 keys works for win 10. And finally, seriously a 1000$ build with no SSD. Be better to know that Ryzen refresh or ryzen 2 is just a month or 2 away.

Any updates? I hope you took advantage of some holiday sales!

True, I just like future-proofing (capacitor aging plus potential power requirements)- if they want more later they don't have to rebuy another PSU with a few more watts. An upgrade to a gtx 1080 will add another 60w load for example, that plus another drive could meet the limit.
