Leader RedBaird Posted December 19, 2017 Author Leader Posted December 19, 2017 All these "rubber chickens" remind me their periods of comedic popularity on US TV in decades past. Chicken-Wiki : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubber_chicken Which has a usage that is new to me and has become an instant favorite. I think the some of us use this technique to solve our computer problems. The Rubber Chicken Fix The term "Rubber Chicken Fix" is sometimes used for a problem that went away by itself in a perplexing manner. It alleges that the problem has been fixed by holding a rubber chicken above it, as in a mock-voodoo ritual. Realistically, the solution to the problem cannot be explained so the rubber chicken procedure is introduced to offer a fake explanation of how it was corrected. The phrase can be applied to a variety of scenarios. 1 Quote
