Administrators daredevil Posted July 12, 2016 Administrators Posted July 12, 2016 One thing - Ford Focus - Big No. Junk car. 3 Quote
redy. Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 (edited) VW Polo - small, nice for cities, parking, fuel efficient, reliable (german quality) Nissan Micra - hell no! to nissan, (http://jalopnik.com/5919881/the-ten-worst-cars-on-sale-today/) There is a reason why they are so cheap. Fiat Punto - like polo, small, fuel efficient, you can be lucky with reliability, but you can be unlucky (italian) Ford Focus - love it. had 3 focuses in the past. bit bigger than polo and punto. easier to take 4 people. good on gas. not as expansive. Opel Corsa - i'm not a bit opel fan. Thewy are having major issues and beef at GM and i dont trust their reliability. Toyota Yaris - toyota = stable. Yaris is super small. so if just for you and for city/parking it is ok. Renault Clio - i'm also not a big renault fan. Renault as well as Peugeot are not the most reliable my recommendation: - if you want to travel longer distances and have friends with you = focus - if you want a city car, very good on gas, easy to find parking = polo Other things: - dont get one with super high milage or super old. high milage/age = you need to fix a lot - test drive the car. turn radio off. open windows. if it sounds weird, it it feels weird = dont do it - check the paint and how things are put together. any color differences, any weird gaps = had an accident good luck reyrey, let us know how it goes you have nice parents Edited July 12, 2016 by redy. !MX Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 I 'm suspect to talk , because I have a fiat punto 1.8 and looks like a race car , suspension low, very stable in the high speed corners ... If you are looking for a car that blends comfort, convenience and speed for me this is the right car Quote
Sparrow Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Prices for oil and filters are nearly same here in germany. Diesel is cheaper at patrol station here in Germany, you just need to pay more taxes for a diesel Car. But this could also depend to your garage where you go. Yeah the taxes are higher, for example a car with benzine motor is way cheaper than diesel. I tought it was the same on the rest of europe ehehe 1 Quote
Bambi Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 i recommend Opel and Toyota because the spare Parts for the Cars are very cheap and the maintenance is favorable. Sonofdoc Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Just get a Lamborghini or I would recommend a chevy, my dad has the sports/best version of the chevy cruze and it is fast. It would be a nice car for a speed demon like you Quote
P8rpl3h4z3 Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 avoid Renault Fiat Ford Opel, roll for Toyota, i have Nissan Almera -95 and i wont sell it untill it blow up (i'd only get few hundred euros) i've drove about 100 000 km with it and havent done much repairs Quote

CaRaNo Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Get a mini cooper just bought 1 and they r so much fun but srysly the micra seems the best for u in my opinion because of the condition and km is low and it will be cheap to run. the rest seems high on kms Quote

Aniky Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Wanna buy my Tiburn? Got pretty much same as this one Should serve u good for the time being, which one were u looking at? Actually u would come quite cheap with it, as they re relatively cheap to maintain, my yearly service costs me now 170e, all material, with sparks included which cost 50e as well as work, the downside is that depends on the weight of your foot on pedal, they can drain up to 8-9l/100km, so it takes a bit of gas, but u are the main in the city with tons of looks after u. On the other side, its mostly set for the two passengers only, as the back space is pretty much limited to people below 170cm, since the back window is really bend down, has the downside of rust problems, typical for Hyundai's. As for gasoline/diesel: -Pick up diesel if u are making long trips, with at least 20-30kms per side, as it wont make it beneficial with short trips for the long term of engine, specially if it has turbo. -The cost of maintaining diesel is expensier, parts and service is normally higher, has more chances of breaking as well, if u arent driving properly, while the cost of diesel gas is cheaper on the other side. -Diesels are normally stronger in engine wise way, considering most of them got turbo with it and the torque is by far better on diesel, which means better accelerations for less gas used. -Gasoline is good if u are making short trips, not so much on demanding long distances, which is ideal for urban cities, as the engine doesnt suffer so much, easier on it as well by bumping pedal to the medal while engine isnt hot yet and the overall mainteance is cheaper, on the other side, gasoline is going to cost u more than diesel and the consumption will be higher as well compared to diesel. The insurance will be cheaper for gasoline while diesel will normally have a bit expensier one. Actually again depending on what u want, Polo is cool, but has to be looked by mechanic, to see potencial costs in order to fix it, Clios are perfect for first car, entire material for yearly service will cost u less than 100e, while tires are cheap as hell, go with 2002 and onwards year of production or in other words Clio 3, as they have a bit more of equipement. If diesel, something like Golf4 TDI 1.9 will be a golden choice, they re like tanks, nearly no cost and their engines are really great. For your picks. Polo- If u are going to check it, downside is high milage, nearly 200k for that car, check the service lists if it really had properly serviced history, u have new battery which is around 60-80e, tires and optic costs u close to 150e together as well. Color seems to be in pretty good shape, cant see any major scratches as well, while inside looks solid for the kms done by owner. Then again, overpriced as f*** tbh, would pay it up to 1300 max, its 15 years old, with 200 000 km... *DONG* Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 From those options -> Toyota Less problems and pretty easy and cheap maintenance costs. You can also look some info from there about those cars -> https://www.adac.de/infotestrat/autodatenbank/default.aspx Masa He's right, Toyotas are insanely reliable. Toyota trucks are more indestructible than Nokia phones Quote
