70+ Mbps down

6+ Mbps up

 

 

I don't know what's causing these red lagspikes. They are continuous, I never get a flat green line.

 

Any help is much appreciated.

When DareDevil asks for winMtr reports, he says to do 100 pings only.  That lagometer SS covers a much shorter time than 2400+ pings in the report.  I would suggest running winMtr during the worst of the spike episodes.  

 

When I have red-spike episodes, my winMtr report eventually "flattens" out the % lost column when the connection gets better.

IP sharing in public at own risk :)

 

I would say this is an issue on the ISP side (also considering my almost perfect mtr) but many people have more brain about this than I.

If it would be ISP, better contact the provider and provide them with your winmtr data.

 

It also shows loss on server side, but I don't experience any loss myself.

I agree with you Platonic

 

Anyway for Pepperonipizza mate problems... I can see three different things which may result in these things:

 

- SOftware/hardware issues with the lan card

- Hardware trouble this time with the router (instability? maybe in the control setup of it you can do something to decrease the speed but at the same time increase its stability)

- ISP related issues.

So far all of the replied solutions/diagnostics would only apply if you have spikes in different games/internet-dependent situations as well. Are your spikes limited to ET, or do you always have spikes?

What kind of connection type have you got? (Cable, wireless, etc)

These lags are not present when I play during more "nightly" hours. So I envision it's maybe my ISP that drops some packages (or the server?)

 

When it bothers me enough again, I will update with a new WinMTR measurement.

Your dropping ALOT of packets from these 4 hops. May not be inside the control of your ISP.

That's what I thought.

 

However, usually you don't take as long of an WinMTR measurement as I did, so maybe there's some other issue afoot (Dare usually asks for 1-2m I think, mine was 40+m)

Test (winmtr or ping) towards each hop starting from first and see if thats 1st level provider or next and provide info for them. Helped on my case to have faster solution. (My first hop connection hw was failing).

It always is better when less people are one. At 5am US time, there no lag, but on the evening it's almost impossible to deal with.

when I see this I think either there is a issue with your own router or its a issue with closest router from your provider

yes it seems hetzner is also the issue again and that is probably is the problem for the other people however

this line have already have 9 percent packetloss and this is either his own router or the router from the provider that provides connections for the neighbourhood  (I think atleast) this is in any case close to the client site.

 

In any case I hope dare can file a complain about hetzner might solve the issue for the majority of the people just keep posting mtr reports 1000 packets + to tracker it will be usefull for DD with that he can file a complain or report the matter to the server host ( I think he can also not sure :P )
