Hi all,..

Question for you...

Is there any way or setting that player can remove smoke during play ?

I mean,..some times I'm in middle of smoke I can't see anything and try to walk somewhere out of it...

but players seem to see me and then never miss a bullet...:\

so if there is any setting of that,...I'll take it ! :)

thank you. xx

Angie.

Afaik no, otherwise many of us would of used it, or at least in long history of ET i havent come upon it. It's mostly fragile parts of your body moving that they spot, or shoot randomly into the smoke to hit u and then aim by sound of hitsounds.

If you mean the smoke comming from a canister, then on some mods you can kick the smoke canister away (think its nq mod only not sure) ,but youll be still in the smoke for a little while.

And if youre surrounded by smoke then dont start firing blind, because you cant see the enemy, but they can sometimes see your barrel fire also when you shoot. And thats offcourse a good aiming point for them.

I just try to lay down and crowl like a snail on steroids, and if you still get hit, ,,well then its game over :D

This will make ppl think that u use wallhack if u want smoke not to be visible in ur settings imo, it wont work anyways so i guess you better follow where the bullet trails are coming from when u r in smoke.

Just don't shoot when you are in the smoke like ExCal said. just try to get into a other way or go back wait behind something. or just rush it.

In N!tmod, which apparently doesn't exist anymore, you can kick smoke and nades away

If not mistaken i heard somewhere that if muzzle flash is on (i think its called that, the light when you shoot), you can partially see throught smoke or something because the smoke has to reappear or smt.

Not sure if this is correct, but i heard it somewhere.

The smoke of covie smoke screen can´t be disabled via legit cmds.

In the other hand the smoke from tank\pipes(example is Marrakech corridor) can be turned off from settings, particles or something.

You can see through smoke all weapons except covies sten. So you can throw smoke screen as covert operations, choose a spot enemies wouldn´t expect and wait their MP40\tommy to give out their position and then bleed em without giving out your position. Covies sniper should be silenced also, but not sure if you can notice them through smoke...

Same here. One of my servers was one of the first N!tmod servers and it did well (Until my clan voted to go all ET Pro). I thought it was the best mod. I think Silent is what came from N!tmod. They have a lot in common

Do in Enemy Territory console: /cg_wolfparticles 0 (default is 1) to remove airstrike can smoke,

But then You won't know when They're coming....Also removes explosion smoke.

When I get shot by snipers in map am_hydro_dam, I wonder if They use ETLegacy:

There's a new version out: nitmod_2.3.1
