Assistant branch manager of a bank. Interesting and adrenaline-filled? Nah, not really.

But I've helped people buy their first home, send their kids to college, pay for their wedding, save for disasters and retire early. It's boring-ass work, but it's good work and my clients love the shit out of me. They give me gifts and shit. Literally like bake me cookies and I was once given a custom made leather jacket (which I love).

And it gave me a ton of knowledge on how to break the cycle of poverty in my family.

I'm a supervisor at UPS, I guess you could call it exciting.  The work is really hard so half the people I train quit in a few hours.  I drink at least a gallon of water in 6 hours and still end up dehydrated.  I run a dock with 10 trucks, do all the paper work, Have about 7 employees under me that I have to constsntly shuffle around to make best use of their strengths... but.  ... but the best part is people never show up so I have to do my adminning  job as well as cover the 2 or 3 trucks we're missing loaders for so ya, I basically die every single day.

I applied for a new slot in the compnay and just interviewed, loss prevention, which I really hope I get.  Already paid well and have the best insurance you can get but I'll be making a hell of a lot more money sitting in an AC'd office being a super sleuth and tracking down lost and stolen packages, doing investigations, checking the  cameras, writing reports,  getting people arrested, etc... Kind of like a dream job of mine I didn't even know existed until recently.  Don't have to sweat and get to be a detective.

Wish me luck that I get it!!! Won't be so tired and in pain everyday that I can't play. ET like I am now.

Here's a pic of a normal day for me at the monent.. Sorry if your squeamish.

Someone's handy! Very impressive.

I was scrambling to send a parcel to the US via UPS a few weeks ago, If I knew you worked for UPS I would've come to you for some clarification! Mostly because I didn't know what I had to put in the export sheet thingy. In the end the parcell got there but I was worried for a couple of days because it was worth some 600 USD and I really wanted to avoid having it going back and forth and potentially getting lost or damaged.

I've always been an architect, only job I've ever had. But I do photography too, mostly commercial and mostly for fun.

Our big car (Ford Ducato) was broken, so we had to use small one (Toyota Auris) to carry our waterbags 😜

I called her "Toyota Shipyard".

I've been IT support for the past 10 years now - doing the support for our BETA application (partners and banks) and been the go to guy for a specific new product that launched a few years ago.
Got asked to support and knew nothing about it - that was fun 😄

I'm managing databases and scientific data storge at local synchrotron facility. It requires some level of programming, mostly in python. 2/3 of typical corporate IT pay and 1/3 of stress. Previously I was doing webdev, primarliy in php+js, also linux servers and network management, but most of those jobs were awful.

I am control tower agent in a big supply chain company at Belgium. We are monitoring all our automated sites at different places. We ship 10000 customer orders per day or 45000 lines. If there are getting troubles control tower will monitor and make decisions on workaround or try to looking for a fix. We have a lot of tools to adjust everything on the warehouse. It is a new project since 1 year where I was from the beginning so still growing and it’s so fun to think of new features!

also responsible for order release management, this means that we will decide when we will release orders as backlog for our other sites worldwide and sister companies.
