ET Server Suggestion Jay1 map rotation suggestions

Btw we really could try Helms deep as @Snake in the Grass is saying. I know some can go to caves straight away (bw mostly). 

But carnage yesterday was done in some strange way too, dunno what happened but 3 minutes and map was gone. My first time on it.

Appreciate the feedback. I know there was an issue with Carnage and I’ll dig around and figure out what it is. Helms Deep and other maps not partial to Jay1 will have to be tested before adding to the rotation due to crash issues, use of double jump to get objs etc. Trying to put together a testing team to expedite the process and get some different maps we are not used to seeing in the rotation. I will update here as needed.

I always loved playing on Snatch and Password 2. Would like to see those potentially added in the future

Since the bug of MLB Daybreak hasn't been patched yet, I suggest we replace it with MLB Egypt if it's okay.

Hi , just wanted to suggest one thing 

 

maps like mlb carnage , flame guards , baserace almost make the server empty . These are very big maps(except base race i have no clue why people don’t like it )  and I see people just leaving the server as soon as they come (mostly in European playing time ) 

 

I am all for new maps but we should see if some maps are less popular on servers and probably replace them .

 

majority are not on forums and cannot vote for new maps but probably we should monitor play usage per maps .

Yes, some of this map out, please give a try to industry, best map in ET, never saw it in jay 1

I think that server need bigger changes in map rotation. Looking at map votes, the worst are:

• castle bba_beta -90 votes
• Decay b7 -30
• MLB Carnage -31
• 2tanks -31
• Kerkyra -5
• Castle attack -3

There is some maps where people prefer join Spec than play and usually lot of people on the server but bots still plays. This is bad for everyone, i saw it on:

• baserace
• hydro dam
• flame guards (probably has lot of minus votes too)
• MLB Carnage and castle bba_beta on this list too

So this maps should be removed, my replace suggestion (more classic maps): 

• Caen2
• Snatch
• Wurzburg Radar (maybe summer version?)
• School
• Frostbite

While Snatch is an awesome map, I feel like it would be terrible in this server: the two chokepoints can be holdable very easily and the amount of spam would be unbearable, even with less players... As @Betinhosuggested, we really should give a try to Industry, it is quite big, with a lot of open spaces and a few narrow corridors. I already suggested this map years ago but for some reason, it always falls on deaf ears  

 

Last point, I feel like people who dislike a map will more often downvote it - people who like the maps often do not bother voting on it at the start of the map. The few outliers, such a castel bba, decay or carnage are a good indication but maps like Kerkyra or Castle attack (a very unbalanced map) sitting at -5 or -3 isn't enough of a trend to act on it, in my opinion.
