Quick question; What is the policy on NQ3 when someone takes docs/obj before the 5 min anti-rush rule? It happens a lot, many times it's server regulars that take docs/obj and say I am not going to complete, etc. However, my issue is that it messes up the flow of the map and the defending team cant set-up properly, etc. I dont want to kick people but is it ok to put the offending player spec and request they dont do that? Some nights it can be a huge pain in the ass and even if a server regular isnt going to run the docs home, who's to say that if he gets killed that the next player or bot that picks them up wont?

Just !warn him 3 times first and then !kick if he keeps doing it.

I have this same issue on Jay 2. What I do is put them spec since most of them know I go by 'no touching object or even finishing it within the first 5 mins' I do pm them and give a warn saying to relax and just enjoy the game but Ofc there will be people who get mad. Not sure if this is the right way to go by. Need some more admin opinions please!

I think the best way is to PM, warn and put them to defending team, so the rushers are removed but they can continue playing.

Completely agree with Heckler.  When people take the objective within 5 min (even if they dont finish the map) the complete gameplay gets messed up..Enemies will run to get the objective back and the "rushing" team can take an important spawnpoint. witch they maybe never would have gotten so fast if the objective was still save. And the 3x !warn doesnt work in this situation, because the map is then already messed up. when you play this game and you defend an important spawnpoint, then its freaking annoying that someone is doublejumping or rushing to get the objective. I think the best solution is to put them !spec as soon as they doublejump/wall or rush to get the objective.

Especially if it are regulars that keep doing this! they should(and they know) the rules and after the !warn etc they just say sorry.."i didnt see or know ".. and get away with it.

"I didnt see" excuse I never saw working because rules are rules just put them spec or as Vanaraud said in the defending team.

The point is that the map  and the gameplay is gone when some1 rushes or takes the objective within 5 min! I know rules are rules, there are admin rules and player rules, and regulars know them.

But what if players keep doing it everytime. They just "take" the warnings, and bring up an excuse like "oh srry" thats my point. I respect the F|A rules and play by them,so its pretty annoying if others just mess complete maps up!

Before i get offtopic,i understand what Heckler means and i agree.

For me, the 5 minutes no rush rule = dont touch the objective during that 5 minutes. That way the gameplay is not gone. If a player touches it i send him to spec. And then i follow our rules....3 warns, 3 kicks and ban.

Dont think this works or we have time to do it.

This seems to make the most sense to me. I think the best thing to do is put spec first then pm or warn when they are spec. Like I said, some of the offenders are regular, nice guy players who just get a little carried away. Dont want to piss them off but, at the same time, rule is rules.... :)

Sometimes when I put the rusher to spec, a bot will pick up the obj and rush it!   :)  I'm left with frantically putting bots to spec, until the daisy-chain of carrier-bots overwhelm my typing abilities!

When players angrily tell me that they were not going to cap it and that I did not have to put them spec, I tell them that I have to treat everybody the same.

If that does not calm them, then I say, "I didn't want to make the other players jealous of our special relationship, Good Buddy!", even if you don't know them from Jack or Jill.   :)

Pretty much what I was thinking. I guess I will do the same. Most of the time I think one reprimand would probably be enough. :spank

In NQ3 we have rushing rule. Mean that rushing is not allowed before 5 min gone! What i do in Jay2 is that when map starts i use my bind "No Rushing rule dont touch object before 5 min gone" if i see someone take object (before 5 min gone) i put him spec and hit my bind again! If player start complaint that "hey i not mean to end map", "you can answer is no touch rule! so its mean that its not allowed take object before 5 min. We cant know if you just take object or try do object right!"

If you see that same players rush map all the time and you moved them/him spec many time, then start topic and add your demos there and you can start warn them! If they still after 3x warn rush, you can kick them when they try rush. In Jay2 we have same rushers who rush map always when they can and in those case we start kick them out of the server, because they got they warns already and do that in purpose but kick only when you started topic and they do that a lot and get they warns. We usually only put rushers in spec!

Nice explanation, thanks Von! :) Will bear this in mind when/if it happens again.
