No one likes smartasses. However, sick people tend to be less patient or understanding than others simply because being sick is never pleasant. Seriously there was no reason to use violence against a sick child and no reason to arrest him. I know that adults shouldn't be too gentle with kids nowadays but they barely tried to reason with him and he got expelled. Being a smartass should be punished and you should have let them try to call your mother at least, but it went too far. Now what I read was a subjective version of the story, sooo... :)

Learn to respect people of authority, it will help you in the long run. At 13, you shouldnt be doing that, it wont look good on your record for applying for jobs and such. You'll have no sympathy from me

Learn to respect police that do not understand the law? Learn to respect teachers that push extremist creationist beliefs in public school?  How about learnin' to respect government officials that lie, cheat and steal?

Even better! Learn to respect those slave masters of the south that bought and sold people like commodities.

While respect is a great thing and should always be used, it's a terrible lesson to teach kids to respect all authority all of the time.

You shouldn't respect based on authority, but based on those that show you respect in turn.

I'm not really not sure of what to say...... So I'll say this: The officer explicitly stated that you could not leave the room. He is an officer of the law (sounds like he's not very nice, but regardless) and as a citizen of the united states, you must listen to him. So, when you blatantly look him in the eye and leave, how do you think he's going to respond? Sure, it might have been wrong to arrest a 13 year old, but when you talk and act like that, some adults will treat you like you are much older because they lose all of the "oh, he's just a kid" sympathy. I'm sorry that you were put into this position, but by the way you wrote your story, you are the only one at fault.

Good luck.

1. Learn respect for others.  It is not always about you.

2. Schools have protocols they must follow, if you & your mom don't like them, feel free to go to a school where you get to make up the rules.

3. Try that shit in the real world with a police officer and you will learn how it feels like to be tasered, and need fresh underwear too!

4. Try that shitty attitude with you boss/supervisor and see how fast you will be unemployed

5. You are 13 years old, YOU don't know everything, YOU were wrong here & so is your mom for not knowing/following school procedures.

6. Take your punishment, you earned it!

Thats quite a story. What Cicione said is right, but I would like to add two more.

7) Apologize to everyone who was involved, sincerely, and accept that you did make some mistakes. As an adolescent, people will appreciate it if you do so. However, don't do this again, because you will get into much more trouble.

8) Ensure that you think out this dilemma time and again. Reflect on what you did wrong and what you could have done better. Try and make an effort to ensure that you are never on the news for such a reason again. Remember, actions speak louder than words, and defying a higher authority by use of physical force is a definite no-no.

can't really judge or comment on this just yet. seems to be some pieces missing.

how many times have you been expelled, or in trouble with the school before?

the way you laid our the story, it seems like the school were the ones in the wrong. something tells me they know you much better than what you've said in your story.
