I listen to fast paced trance/dubstep/nightcore while gaming, IF it's a game that doesn't use any voice chat, if it does, I avoid music.

most of the time when i play i run http://www.pandora.com/ on xfire  browsers or just run it in google chrome  they have the best radio i think i try yahoo and all the other radios but i hate all the commercials and when they go to talking it annoying  pandora almost all the time plays for a full hour with out any commercials  and it a good way to know when you played for a hour  only down side of it is you can only skip so many songs before you can't skip anymore for the next 2 or 24 hours i have not got a handle on it yet

Most of the time its just heavy stuff: I Declare War, Whitechapel, The Acacia Strain, The Black Dahlia Murder etc. mainly to get in a very hateful mood to frag. But if its not that then its a mix of rap/hip hop I dig, mainly older; Biggie and Pac, some NWA, Dr. Dre. etc.

I listen to the squeaky boots of enemy soldiers.  It gives a tremendous advantage to be able to hear the guys around you, particularly true on quieter maps where you can hear a person moving a block away.  Dead Silence is my kryptonite!

Most recently, it has been Latin House. I usually just tune into an online radio and choose whichever genre I feel like at the time. More so it will be under the EDM umbrella.
