I love you guys/girls

  In a few months, it will be one official year since I joined up with the FA family and I have had the most awesome time of my life.. I never dreamed I would be able to make so many good friends and have so much fun (online that is), but it has been way better than I ever thought it could be..  I always scoffed at stories of online friendships that people claim to make and how important those people are..  I have had the opportunity to meet people all around the world, different cultures, languages, beliefs and oh my my it has been such an eye opener. I have learned though that no matter how different we may talk, or dress, or even the things we believe in, that on the inside we are all the same, and we want the same things, to be happy, to make friends, to love and to be loved, all the while sharing the other common ground, with our love of games.

 

  I will be 40 in a couple of months, and God knows when I was younger I never imagined that at this age I would still be a gamer.  I always knew that I wanted to, but never believed that I would.  But even more than the love of the games, it is the friendships, comradery, and the common ground that keeps me coming back for more.  I know for the most part, we gamers are a different breed of people, we love to stay up late, finish that last level, dig that last hole, or finally take out that camper that has been hiding and pissing us off for the last 3 maps, but we do have something in common with the rest of the world.  Our desire to accept and to be accepted, not for what the world thinks is normal, but for the thing we love.

 

  I know I haven't been in game as much recently, but as most of you know I am in the final stages of having my novel published, and at this point it is priority #1 for me, but I have stayed on the forums, and stayed in contact with most via facebook and texting, and everyone has been super supportive.  Some of you have even become closer to me than the people here in my neck of the woods in real life.

 

  I guess what this all boils down to is, I really appreciate FA taking me in and letting me be a part of this awesome family/community, and I want you all to know what an important part of my life you have become, and I couldn't imagine a day going by, without my FA family in it.  My hats off to the founders/leaders/co-leaders and all the rest of the people who put in so many hours and help continue to keep the servers running, the forums pooping and the drama to a relative minimum, you guys/girls are great.  And to the rest of you who, keep the servers alive, keep recruiting, sharing bits and pieces of your lives, I salute you too!

 

  I know I am only coming up on my first whole year here, but as long as my eyes, ears, and hands hold out, I hope to be a part of this wonderful family!

 

  I feel truly blessed to be a part of this, and from the bottom of my heart, I love you all!
