Too many players now running chams

I've decided it's time for me to leave since I refuse to spend money on chams. It's more and more a suicide run every time you respawn with greater numbers of players utilizing game additions. Once the door is opened it becomes necessary for everybody to either download or leave. With PB now basically impotent, there is nothing to stop the cham wars erupting.

 

Thus, a multi-player game is only good to play until someone downloads and runs the first cham for it.

i was playing in tht map with u claymore...thr was nothing wrong seriously...just tht allies were nt doing obj as a team...u kept going in alone..of course u'll be cut down by a hail of fire..

First of all, I don't know why you think people cheat more now, if compared with the past. This game is very old, nothing has changed for years, they cheated for ages now, but cheaters were always a small minority, and still are.

 

I think many players underestimate their opponents abilities, they forget that in 2-3 years max everyone reaches his maximum potential, maybe even less, and there are people who played almost every day for years. Why should they be so bad, after all this time? There is a lot of people who take the game very seriously, you can't beat them if you don't do it as well. And it's not necessary to beat them to still have fun.

 

I don't want to repeat myself, but look at how many amazing people there are at doing other things (musicians, jugglers, all people who need to practice and practice, and they don't cheat) I remember I was watching a video on youtube about rubik's cube, and someone commented 'impossible, it must be fast-forward, nobody can solve it in 10 seconds', well maybe *they* couldn't solve it even in 10 days, but that guy could do it in 10 seconds! Using what you can do as a standard is always wrong. If I wanna know what players can do, I watch a lan on ettv or something. I don't watch myself playing.

Anyway, I tell you what's my attitude towards the game. After many years of playing, I can more or less tell the players skills (and usually I also guess who cheats), now the maximum skill I ever reached was low+, probably I'm low now, because I'm a bit worse.

 

What's the difference if I lose against a cheater or not? I am lowskill, and lowskill I would be even without cheaters. Without cheaters I would still get the same accuracy, I wold play the same lowskill way, etc. only the number of people who beat me would be a bit lower. That's it. Reason to quit? Surely not.

I play to see what *I* can do, and I am happy if I make some nice frags.
