I deleted my facebook for that reason - hell, one of the guys from my high school started uploading porn with him in it *facepalm*. It was a ton of people I didn't care about posting things I didn't care about.

I love facebook, it is a good way to keep in touch with family and I love making new friends! If anyone wants to add me, I put my FB link in my profile!

lol. I play all the games. You need friends to help in certain things cause there is no way I'm paying to get through a level!!! I like to get on and see how everyone is doing. Most of them just know me from high school and add me just because, I'm goin on a deleting spree! :P

FB is good if you have friends all over the country/world, but I feel it's main purpose is for females to show pictures. I can't stand the generation we are living currently where walking around I see everyone glued to FB updates - that shit is so lame for real..

at this point I wonder if I would even have one if I weren't in a band and it wasn't such a nifty networking tool...

I'm going to go ahead and side with you on this one...sans the "shoot yourself now" bit...maybe a long walk off a short pier?

I have no problems whatsoever with facebook, don't get spammed by friends, no game invites, just useful (and sometimes unuseful but funny) stuff.

It can also be of good use for advertising (as i do with my yt-channel). But I understand your frustrations.

Where does it say I am sober? What is sober to you? lol? Ive lived on both coasts and was in the military in California/Iraq from 2004-2008. I use it to talk to ppl on deployment since its really the only online chat they use. And yes, guys who sit takin pics of themselves all day and lookin pretty is gay dude. I duno who you are but you don't need to talk shit to someone you dont know at all. Im also a patriots fan and Im from Mass. Hope you have a better day dude!Im also done with college this semester and my opinion is very valid that students and younger people sit on the site ALL DAY LONG doing nothing at all except reading mostly pointless updates that don't produce or help the person at all...I also recently posted an update about this on my page and I got many many responses in agreement that what I said was real talk. I honestly didn't put any real thought into that post it was just a quick and modified post of what I said last week on FB as I said. If you want to continue with your views then I am here listening and I can elaborate more on my opinions (just opinions, not facts that's what the thread is for)..

I also see you never posted any counter opinion against mine posted here. I would hope that you would express your views on facebook as the thread is made for that instead of attacking someone you hate on the iNet. Thanks man I will think more deep about my facebook opinions and I will share them with you once you share your facts/opinions.

Please dude share your views and tell me why my views are retarted since you know the truth, right? Your opinion is right since mine is retarted - so lets hear yours. I would enjoy expanding my horizons with younger people? about their views of fb - its a great topic to discuss.

Since you attacked me about my quick opinion of why FB has become lame to me, please share with us why Facebook is not at all lame to you and why you enjoy it so much? Thanks.

I use facebook more than I do anything else on the Internet. MaKy has family in Holland and Germany that I have as 'friends' a lot of them don't speak English, or not very well. So they see photos of our children. I keep in contact with a lot of friends from high school. Most status updates I write are to do with our children also.. Usually I just scroll through the news feed seeing what everyone else's posts. Some people like it some people don't. I don't use twitter, MySpace etc. F|A forums and facebook are the only social networking/chatting I do/use

I have never had facebook account. Im not saying i never will (just because i dont like saying "never"...), but currently, i cannot see any use i would have for it. Personally, if im for example interested "what is going on with John?", i would rather call him or meet him face-to-face, not just go and see what is his latest facebook post.

Im not saying facebook would not be good tool to keep in touch with your friends, especially if they live in another part of the country/world. But still, even if i had such friends, i would rather call them with skype or something, because it does not take much more effort, but you get a much deeper contact with your friend.
