Wifestein
Man drives 1,400 miles to buy $1,000 of pizza An American man has embarked upon a 24-hour, 1,400-mile-long journey across America to deliver more than $1,000 worth of pizza to his family. David Schueler bought his loved ones 150 dishes from Town Spa Pizzas in their hometown of Stoughton, Massachusetts and drove them to their new residence in Jackson, Mississippi last week. Schueler splashed $1,197 (£723) on his bulk buy, making it the restaurant's largest single-person carry-out order in more than 50 years of business. "Pizza in Mississippi is horrible," Schueler told Massachusetts' Patriot Ledger. "They all think I'm nuts. But you don't know what it's like to not be able to get a decent pizza." Schueler, who previously forked out $87 (£52) in luggage charges to fly 40 pizzas back to Mississippi, kept his cheesy treat intact with the help of four coolers installed in his SUV. "To pick up 150 pizzas to bring back home, that's definitely a Town Spa lover," the eatery's manager Karry Hughes commented. "He's definitely number one. If you never had it before, then you don't understand." Source
