Where are you getting the impression that it's not particularly popular? I'm fairly certain it has a larger playerbase than Enemy Territory does at the moment. For reference, TF2 is the #6 most played game on xfire as of this post, while ET is #26. No reason to torrent when steam will slam downloads exceeding 1mb/s. Download the Steam client. Make a Steam account. Download. Medic should be ubersawing spies off your back or warning you. Alternatively, learn to turn around often or keep your back to walls. You can also check where the server Steam is routing your downloads from in the options -> Downloads + Cloud tab. There is a dropdown menu for download region.
