if you don't have any problems with xp then you have no reason to change.

Win 7 Premium, 64bit.. I have no problems.

The only problem you will incur is the UAC (User Account Control) system f*cking with ET.exe's ability to save files such as demos, screenshots, and condumps - but I've written a tutorial (see my sig) for fixing that issue :)

Go on ahead and upgrade - if the worst comes to the worst, you can probably make ET run in Win XP compatibility mode :)

win7 x64. Everything runs perfect. Like Chuck said, disable UAC right away. Some ppl also said the built-in mouse accel sucks and needs to be disabled but i didnt feel any so dunno about that.

UAC was made to protect you - it's pretty useless if you're 100% savvy with your computer but my tutorial just enables ET to run as an administrator, keeping UAC enabled.. I don't wanna be responsible for putting people's PC security at threat :P

Disable UAC =D. UAC doesn't do anything for PC security (Nothing at all). It is sorta like a guy standing over your shoulder saying "are you sure you want to do that?" everytime you click on something.

It also means if something malicious tries running with administrative rights without you knowing, it'll ask you first ;) Thats where it becomes a security feature - thats why they made it :)

I personally agree with you, UAC is rubbish, but im not going to promote turning it off :P
