My pc did the same. Froze and i couldnt do anything. First i couldnt fix it but then i didnt start the minimizor and everything was good. So i deleted the minimizor

My computer completely freezes, it's only when im playing et.

My computer system is windows XP.

And i cant make SS's.

Those having issues xfire me. If your issue started from yesterday, then it might be related to spoofed getstatus and getinfo packets used for DDoS.

 

I fixed issue of one guy here. xfire me when I am on and keep teamview installed.

My et crashing too. It's just like a pause but i can't unpause it :]

I will confess that the "ET Freeze" also happened to me yesterday, twice. But was not accompanied by any error message or other warning. I was able to terminate the ET.exe process from the taskmanager and I just caulked it up to new hardware and a failed hard drive I'm too lazy to disconnect.

 

You can tell if your computer is completely frozen by pressing your Caps Lock or Num Lock keys. If the light comes on and/or goes off, it's just the program that has become unresponsive.

num lock seems to be working, but i can't do anything after a long time of waiting... so only restart can hlp than

Use Ctrl + Alt + Del or Ctrl + Shift + Esc to bring up the Task Manager, you might have to drag it into the screen if you use a different resolution than your desktop in-game.

It's only happened to me once, but most of you are experiencing it multiple times, strange.

I have the same Problem again. Just in the middle of the Game, Et crashed or freeze. Happened yesterday a couple times and today it crashed already 2 times.

Do you listen to music while youre playing et?

That was my problem, et crashed cause i was playing music too.

Yes, but i always have Music on, and it never happened before. Just started some days ago.

Close Xfire, Msn, Internet, everything! That solved my ETcrashes a while ago.

Have you tried a fresh install? Do you have any error code before it shuts down?
