Well hello hello everyone. Its been quite a few years since i was on here. I know there are going to be some questions so let me explain short and sweet. I pretty much retired from the fire department in 2021 to focus on my career as a mechanic and trying to sort my life out. I am now engaged and doing big things in my life if you want to say that lol. Sadly i do not have my laptop anymore so i cannot play ET which sucks because i liked that game so much and want to play again. Sadly again i have a stupid chromebook which i cant download the game. I am on discord now so you can find me there.

I can set you back to ET Member from Inactive Member now.  😄  That will let you access the private forums again.

Ah, when you do get ET installed again, you will probably have new GUIDs and have to be reset on the servers again, but that is a 'problem' for the future.

Hiya  Bladez! Welcome back man! 

 

I am not familiar with the Chromebook, what's the reason you're unable to install and play ET? Have you tried the new ETLegacy?

A chromebook is a laptop running ChromeOS, googles take at the laptop industry, its a very barebones version of Linux that doesnt allow for normal things to run, most schools and work places use them today as they can be heavily restricted, even most normal linux applications cant be run on them, so running things like games can really only be done with cloud gaming, which of course doesnt include ET :(

Welcome back Bladez! Have you explored the possibility of playing ET via Steam? There are guides to play Steam via Chromebook and ET should be on Steam. Maybe an option! Good luck!

unfortunately the project is still in beta status ... but it would be worth a try

Hey, thanks for update mate :)  Good that things going well in there and hopefully someday you can come to visit in servers too. But you can keep us updated on whats going on and keep contact to your friends through forum till you are able to come play again. Enjoy and Welcome back forums :)
