Just curious how long you guys have been playing ET ? As for me I started in 2005 ..

I'm now 41 yrs old I've seen so many players come and go,  ups and downs  ,bust ups lol 😆 i haven't always got on with everyone but we can all agree we love the game and some of us are real passionate about it.

Anyway just my thoughts

I started ET around 2010 and have ripened up to become the old man I am today at 25 years old. Have migrated from server to server a lot over the years but am currently not so active

I jumped in from RTCW bit odd way, was playing rtcw and was asked to test new map, thats was all I know in that moment. I did know person as player in rtcw and he did give link for dl and instructions to report issues. This happened in 2002 September. Later of cause I did get know at this was oasis map beta test phase. I did test it and give what I did see and found. Then I forget whole thing, it was not big deal. Then some time in 2003 I found out at people from rtcw was moving to play also ET, so I did it also.

I came back to this game and happy to have found this awesome community and nice guys around!

 

I am today 45 years old . My older Kids of 17 and 18 yo, who mostly play last CODs and  are laughing at me playing the same game since they are born lol 😂 , I Told them that I am proud to be from this 70's/80's generation who have seen almost everything from this gaming evolution,  from single comodore 64 / atari / TO7-70 /Mo5 and even CPC 6128 lol ,  to LAN Gaming in garages (Quake , unreal tournament, etc...) with my pentium!

I play from around 2010 or 2011 with some very long breakes in between that and today

But I keep coming back, it seems, no matter what 🤔 Before I come back from a longer break I usually think to myself "these are the last months to play this game", but probably it will not even die out in my lifetime 😅 Although the Hungarian community basically died out where I started playing

Started somewhere around 2007 at age of 14. Was in couple different clans back then and had few breaks in between.
It's one of these games that you keep coming back to eventually as there isn't quite anything like it.

Might be slightly rusty from those young days but it's coming back slowly as 30 gets closer 😄

I started to play around 2009 maybe when I was 14-15 years old (27 atm). My PC in that time wasn't too good so decided to give it a chance. 😄 I loved it.. ET was on the only game I played for a while. Can't really remember what happened after. Coming back in April was a good choice.

Love this topic! Started playing around 2007 as well after seeing my brother play it with a friend. I am pretty sure my first map was goldrush and played on some servers that had guided panzers, molotov cocktails, and pure chaos with admins flinging, splatting, and trolling players everywhere lol, ended up really enjoying the community and was a member of a clan which eventually dissolved around the same time as the start of my decade-long hiatus (college, start of work, real life chaos). Here is am back in the swing of things enjoying fragging with this crazy bunch!🤘

I started in 2005, started Just for fun.. After a year ( i think) i joined M8D international.. was there some years.. Then i joined 1944 KillingFields..I actually fall in love with ET.in 2011 i joined FA.

Started in 2006  , then had a break in 2015 , came back from time to time, now i came back for good 😄

Playing from early kid age 2003 when I was 11 till around 2013 nonstop. Then had long pause and now I am back, like mentioned above, you just cant stop play that game, you will allways come back.

got this game on disc when it came out2003? with rtcws  been playing ever sense. ive know u hotspurs for a very long time.it was what  windows 98 o/s and dial up internet back then. an u had what 30 lives then u wait till next map.

 

good times et brother good times. i am sure we will still be here when all have left .lol

 

i am 47 now.my kids grew up to me playing this ....  first group i joined was 150thCeB  we then got good at scrims an changed to ceb*won few scrims lol in that group. my team was killandie  decruz and keyblade. ill never for get those guys.
