anyone know how to change the dimensions of my windowed ET... like in the config?

The malice of inanimate objects. Looks like computer damage. But I won't tell you exactly what might be damaged. Maybe the graphics card, maybe the monitor, maybe the power supply, or the motherboard. 
I'm betting on the graphics card.

 

It seems to me that the drivers won't help here.

 

It may be that under a given resolution it does so. This may already be a sign of wear and tear on the graphics card or some component.

 

No one can tell you exactly what might have happened or how to resolve it.

 

You can check in another game that loads the computer significantly at high resolution. You can also test the GPU with a load program (I recommend OCCT). If it crashes, it means your graphics card is damaged.

 

Commands to change resolution:

/r_mode -1

/r_customwidth 1920

/r_customheight 1080

/vid_restart

if was me id take that lappy apart clean the shit out of it. just go slow   some those ribbon plugs are a b*** to get back in.i agree with filipe here !!

 

whats the temps when its doing that.how long have u had this laptop.

I think I remember helping you with something similar a while ago Neuro. I think helping you with a config was what fixed it in the past. I remember when you did alt+enter you said the pink sparkles went away, is this the same issue?
