CheepHeep Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 When you have adjusted the settings to your preference. Type /writeconfig TopGunCFG. You'll create a CFG file called TopGunCFG with the current settings you are using. Any time you happen to log on and you find that you're settings have changed or have been reset to default, simply type /exec TopGunCFG and your personal settings will be restored. Remember to type /vid_restart afterwards as some settings require you to do that before they take effect. Quote
captnconcrete Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 before u write a config .. try a vid_restart. Quote
Leader RedBaird Posted September 1, 2018 Leader Posted September 1, 2018 @TopGuN Do you run your ET "as admin"? I know that some players can run ET without 'run as admin', depending on their system and their Operating System. You might have to 'run as admin' to enable ET to change the files in your ET installation folder. Some versions of Windows 'protect' files in the /program files/ folders from being changed. If that is true, then any changes that you make while running ET are not really "saved". I avoided that whole thing by installing ET to my D:/ drive on this computer. That might make the files a little less secure, I guess... ❓ Quote
TopGuN Posted September 1, 2018 Author Posted September 1, 2018 Hi Red,.. thanks for your feedback.. but the installation folder still the same since I play ET. D:\Games\ET\.... and I've full control of it. more over I've tried to run ET by right click and use RUN AS ADMIN. but still have same issue. 1 Quote
