How to choose your PSU?
When looking for a Power Supply, you have to decide on the wattage and the brand. Why do I say brand? A lot of PSU's do not advertise the true wattage that it puts out and some are very poor quality and have random fluxuating voltages which can fry your motherboard. I suggest these brands of PSU: Corsair, OCZ, Coolmaster, XFX or Antec Earthwatts

I went with an Athlon II x4 620 for $108.99 and MSI 790X-G45 ATX AM3 Crossfire Motherboard for $89.99. Alright so Number1Dad told me to try to do a stealth DVD Drive, so I am doing that right now
First thing I did was take the Drive Slot Plate and sand the snap-ons down.
Next thing I did was sand the hell out of the slot plate so it will easily move in and out of the DVD drive slot. Afterwards I used the handyman's secret weapon and some folded paper to fill up the empty volume of the slot. This way the DVD Drive and the plate will actually touch each other.

First thing I bought was Patriot Sector 5 4GB (2 x 2 GB) DDR3-1333 RAM for 119.99. I was considering some value ram for 25 bucks less but I asked around and learned if I wanted some dependable and stable ram that won't die on me, it is worth the $25 bucks more. Another thing I bought was a new PSU. Antect Earthwatts 650 watt PSU was definitely what I need and for 60 bucks it was a bargain for me.

LOL okay so I am finally building my own rig now. First thing I did was go buy myself some pretty colored fans and cathodes =). I know you could find a cheap 5-pack of fans but i only needed 2 for the case, so I got the prettiest fans i could find lol.

Good news for Mac users, N!tmod 1.3 Mac client binaries have just been released.
We will unfortunately not release the Mac server binary, the ammount of ET servers running on Mac systems isn't big enough for us to bother building server binaries.
Server admins can download the new pk3 including the mac client here.
Replace the nitmod_1.3.pk3 by the nitmod_1.3_mcs.pk3 file (mcs = mac client support)
