He's half white walker and half human. Many people actually think he's Benjen Stark because Benjen went North of the wall and never came back since season one 5 years ago. But they are doing it different in the show. Many people thought they wouldn't put Coldhands either, but this could be him since Coldhands is a shaddowy figure and rides an elk. Interesting. Always played with the idea that Benjen would come back as a white walker or something. Game of thrones is a nice break from my exam month. I was thinking last night that of all the places and time that Bran could go back to and visit - he keeps going back to Winterfell when Ned and Benjen were kids. They've probably showed more of Benjen as a child than they did when he was an adult. Also...I'm not saying that Hodor is not dead but we didn't see him die. Usually when this show kills someone - they really kill them. They seem to take pleasure in us watching them die some terrible death. Kevin Eldon (aka 'the actor Kevin Eldon') is an absolutely brilliant British comedy actor, he's been around for 20 years but very much a cult actor - he has worked with the best in British comedy (Chris Morris, Armando Iannuci, Stewart Lee, Steve Coogan) and is an absolute 100% genius. hobbit Posted May 23, 2016 Share Posted May 23, 2016 Hodor is dead for sure, it was confirmed by D&D that it was GRRM idea and that they were shocked when he told them. The show also seems to be taking a slightly different approach to the direwolves than the books so I wonder if Summer and Shaggydog will also end up dead in the books. I can see GRRM having Summer die to symbolize the end of summer and the start of Winter. In terms of theories, a few years ago someone did predict that Hodor's name came from "Hold the door!" except that he was Elia's son and that was the last thing he heard her screaming to the guards before the Mountain smashed his head against the wall. There's some really neat stuff out there. And if still looking for depth after that, just watch something else I realy enjoy GoT but yes, it's sometimes dumb. It's still HBO. It's not nearly as brilliant as, for example, breaking bad, but I think it's really enjoyable On topic: guys, you realize this Hodor thing means bran can change the past? And now your right about the amount of wolf running around ------- Omfg.. What an episode! What an action and heroism.. Probably almost forgotten already the play aria had to watch.. How mother of dragons became a little emotional and the power of the new red lady was depicted. Sansa is all grown up now and even "become the ****, and let snow become the swallower" the white walker story still not really makes a lot of sense for me (have not red the books) why they kill their creators.. You have to expect him to anticipate how Sansa would react to his reappearance. Think he's still several steps ahead of her. Are the Knights of the Vale really at Moat Cailin? Moat Cailin is a derelict but it is part of the North - be interesting to see how the Boltons (Bolton?
