I recommend everyone read Hatchet by Gary Paulsen—it's about a teenagers journey through a wilderness survival situation. It's a super easy read—I think its genre is under young adult—but I still read it every couple of years.

If you're in to fantasy, Prince of Thorns is very good! It's like Lord of the Rings meets Game of Thrones :)

Well, a lot of people think that old school books aren't that great however if you are looking for some of the best books to read, books made a while ago are really the best. Some of my favorites are

-The Honor Harrington series (it is a syfy series with a lot of action and you get into the books really easily) by David Webber.

-The Horation Hornblower series. While I don't remember the author, the series is about a young seaman in the late 1800s who rises through the ranks (each book is about him at a different rank).

-Ender's Game. While the movie is not that great, the book is incredibly good. Definitely one to read in your life. It is my favorite book.

-The Count of Monte Cristo is a must read. If you have not read it yet, you are truly missing an incredible book. I definitely suggest this one.

+1 for Enders Game

Altough the movie was bad the book series is excellent. So far it’s been the bggest series I have read. And planning to buy all of the books. Already got 2 of them. As I enjoy literature in their original language, I read these books in English.

Don't want to start another topic, since this is the one I'd intend to make.
Wanted to ask if any of you read sci fi books. In the lines like Dune, Enders series and so forth.

I like spacewars and books like that. Also WW2 autobiography and stories about them.

The Four Hour Work Week - Tim Ferriss. Read this book, and you'll be able to change a few habits in a very positive way.

All books of Sven Hassel (WO2 genre). He writes about his personal crazy experiences in the German Army.

Outliers - Malcolm Gladwell. He answers the question ''Why do some people living remarkably productive lives, while so many never reach their potential?''

Ps: gen.lib.rus.ec is a website where you can check almost every single book before actually buying it. Ssst, don't tell it further...

If you go this way: Dumas, Verne, Scott, Tolstoi and many more classics who wrote good adventure books.

There are also good Sci-Fi series: "Old Mans War" and "secret agent Vorkosigan" series. Though don´t think amber can relate to them(Achilleus you should search\open new topic for it;))
