Question

Hey guys,

Basically, yesterday i was playing around with some settings trying to boost my fps because currently it is around 15 which im fine with but obviously the more the better. So anyway , i must of changed something because after changing some stuff ive been experiencing crazy lag and low fps. Ping has gone from 300 to 500 on average and fps from 15 to 4.It skips frames, crosshair suddenly jumps from one side of the screen to another in one frame.. Its simply unplayable and maybe the easiest course of action is to reinstall ET saving ETkey and silEnT.dat files but i'm wondering if there any solutions that may fix this without uninstalling.

If you wish to see my etconfig, tell me and i'll pm it to you.

Cheers in advance,

How about we start with sharing your PC specs and your config first? Based on that we can tweak config. 300 to 500 ping = bad routing or router issue or wifi issues or something else.

15 is too low. I suggest at least 30 to enjoy the game play. 15 FPS lags!!!! How u even play it?

Thanks for the reply.

Been playing with 15-20fps for 2years so i'm used to it, besides i am using a Netbook. Hard to get high fps on such a petite device. So you can probably understand why i have such low fps. Also i'm using my neighbours wifi so it wouldn't be a strong connection. Its either that or i don't play at all, so i settle for it.

Heres my current config : http://www.mediafire.com/view/edh5dkvuc5cdh6g/cheep1.cfg

Unsure what specs you want specifically so heres the model name : Toshiba NB520.

in many cases its a messed up cfg which is causing trouble like that. but settings are very unique to handle. stuff thats good for my pc must not give you the same results. thats why i asked if you tried someone else cfg.

but im glad its fixed
