Invalid user info?

Question

Every once in a while I see a pb message that says

"Your client is providing invalid user information"

My GUID is fine right? It's saving my xp.. I'm confused

Is it possibly me seeing someone else's error when they try to enter?

That's often a problem caused by invalid characters in your name.. try /name Frick (or whatever name you like, not using any obscure characters - not even for color codes) and see if that solves it.

If it really bothers you, you can delete cg_selectedplayer & cg_selectedplayername from your cfg

I also had such a problem but it got fixed by this way :-

This problem is due to invalid characters in the player alias

Got to Jaymod------> then Profiles -----> etconfig ------> and change your name there

and it will be solved

Well...it did help me.   :)

When I changed my name to "f/a=Redbaird" on jay2, I got kicked with "...invalidate user information..." and could not connect to any jaymod server.  Note that "ate" on the end of "invalid"!

OK, looking at other SS that invalidate is common.
