Anytime i change my config theres always some leftovers from the previous one, like for example a bind on some key or some setting in regards to map brightness or whatever else.

Is it possible to remove any trace from the previous config?

in console

/cvar_restart

/vid_restart

/exec autoexec

/reconnect

/exec <your cfg>

The last 3rd and 4th may not be needed, but doesn't hurt

Sometimes cvar_restart is not enough, and you might need to manually remove all config files.

What os are you on?

ideas:

- find and remove all cfgs (etconfig.cfg) in every mod folder. default ones will be recreated on game restart.

or

-do the following

/cvar_reset

(deletes all custom cvars and reset all et-based on its default)

 and

/unbind all

(removes all binds)

dont forget to backup your cfgs!!

and another solution that always works is to make sure you back up your guid /etkey and delete / resinstall the game

then your always sure all is back to basic :P just dont forget to save your etkey :P
