Router, modem needs reset - I reset my router once a week - bad lines, internet settings not optimized. Could be many things

Are you sure it's kbps rather than KBps? Kilobits vs KiloBytes?

Probably a misunderstanding?
1mbps = ~125kB/s (or KBps). So this seems normal afaik.

The 12kB/s (around 10%) difference is simply overhead for TCP/IP, PPPoE, and ATM.

1mbps broken down:
8 bits (bps) = 1Byte (B/s)

1000/8=125. :)

You can log onto the router, and there is usually an option to Reboot the router somewhere in the settings.

...Or you can just unplug the router and re-plug it back in.
