Popular Post Xernicus Posted October 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted October 13, 2014 I decided to head out with a friend and have a day full of photography yesterday... and while I must admit that it did not go well, there is one gem that made the trip worthwhile.Specs:ISO80F/2.81/125 sec ExposureCenter Weighted light meteringEdits:LBB Cooling filter with 5% densityLens Barrel Distortion correctionCurves adjusted to bump contrastAnd here it is:I also edited a B+W version: 15 Quote
Monoxide Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 The detail in the leaf is amazing! Nice shot! Quote
Arturro Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 very cool, but it's something white in the upper left corner a little distracting Quote

Xernicus Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 Thank you all so much for your comments, compliments, and criticisms. They're all very well appreciated. very cool, but it's something white in the upper left corner a little distracting I couldn't agree more. I realized this right after I reviewed it. If I'm not mistaken, I used a cooling filter which did not contribute well to the light you see. I've done some research and experimenting with ways of reducing (and in some cases fixing) using various brushes, effects, and sometimes filters or whole photo adjustments (curves, saturation, hue, contrast, blablabla). I still have quite a bit to learn though- and I'm actually looking forward to it. Quote
Xernicus Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 So I decided to re-process this. I more aggressively edited this, cropping out the "distraction", adjusted the color gamut, fixed wash out and blemishes, blablabla.Let me know which one you like better!Any problems you see in this version that weren't present in the first? Please let me know! 1 Quote
audrey Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 So I decided to re-process this. Any problems you see in this version that weren't present in the first? Please let me know! There's more noise in this one. That's becuase it's zoomed ofcourse. You could've just erased the white thingie from the pic maybe? The zoomed out version is much better. Tho I don't really like micro nature pictures, i like this one because of the drops Quote
