Papito
I tell you to buy a desktop, the laptop can not pimp, over time and gradually are being left behind, I personally prefer a Desktop, with time and money you can pimp.* *Powered by Google Translator ** LoL

Saizou
Also desktop, among other things, keyboard is better, and you can easily upgrade at any time. And I generally like desktops more than laptops.

Read onion's blog, he recently built a pretty good comp for like $600 canadian bucks. I think in real money thats around 500 bucks.
Desu
hmm it looked pretty pimp it includes everything that is needed for a computer such as audio cards and stuff?
AzuShika
Desktop all the way. My mate bought a laptop (designed for gaming) and it's huge, heavy and was about $3k (although we live in Aus so prices for comp stuff suck here) I recently upgraded to an i7 and didn't even break the $2k mark. He also can never really use just the battery because it just sucks the juice out of it, which makes the fact that he has a battery kinda pointless. NoGooD
Suggestions for questions to answer: How much? What is the main purpose of the comp? Can you recycle any old parts? What country do you live in? (for online stores, prices, etc) What size of area are you looking to put the computer? What are the ambient temps where the computer will be located? (for OC'ing, or high end components) Is noise an issue? Someone else help me out with more ?s
