meow
Yes both get my +1 vote There is enough star players for the 32 team but there is teams who should be moved too, teams who not event get 50% of hall occupance should be move to area where is more fans. I always think that its very wrong that Canada has so less teams, when every Canada team got over 85 occupance in games. There should be atleast 3 more team in Canada. Only minus is that i dont want lose anyone from my team except Coyle and Spurgeon and maybe Kuemper, its only minus on NHL addition, i will be super sad if Wild lose Koivu or Parise or Dubnyk or Brodin etc... I dont want to see them in any team in free. There should be some system what would be even to teams who are in NHL now and for those who come to NHL. Is there anyone who was following NHL when we got Wild and Columbus in NHL? How they did that addition? I dont know why they a keep a team in Arizona and Florida, like seriously they have no fans. And the expansion rules in 2000 was this: Each team had 2 options to protect players. Option 1: 1 goalie 5 defensemen 9 forwards OR 2 goalies 3 defensemen 7 forwards https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000_NHL_Expansion_Draft The thing is....new teams will suck, they wont pick any good players cause they will all be protected. I'd rather have a team moving to my city (Florida, they're already in the right division!) than to have an expansion. But I'll take whatever
von Rantala
Thank you for reply mate, yeah would rather to see Florida or Arizona in new adress too and two new team would be second opinion. That kind system would be fine for me, Wild could keep players who they want and let some go, new team still could get very good prospect. So win, win situation, It didnt take so long from wild to go Playoffs when they came to NHL and if GM will be good it will not take long to go playoffs if you pick right players and its good to remember that we have a lot good players in here europe (eu leagues) who could be solid second and even first liners in NHL.
von Rantala
PIT and VAN made win, win trade, i mean that both team win in this trade, VAN and PIT both trade exactly same style players, Bonino and Sutter both are very good two way players, Sutter is better leader and better in defencive way and with faceoffs, but Bonino is better in offenicive way and can make +20 points more than Sutter. PIT sign Fehr too. Look like Leopold is retiring, i would happily see him continue in Wild, but im very excited about our current defencive group. M. Reilly was great (at least from stats) in College hockey who can be great two way defender and who know maybe top 2 defender to us in future, we have Dumba who can be top 5 offencive defenders in NHL and Scandella who can be as good as Beauchemin, and in my mind Beauchemin is best defencive defender in league atm and last 3-4 seasons. I think that it will affect a lot more than Anaheim think when they lose Beauchemin, even that there was great young defenders like Vatanen, Fowler and Lindholm, Beauchemin was most valuable defender in Anaheim group, he was huge leader and teacher to those young defenders in group, he was biggest reason why Lindholm was so ready in NHL as he has been. I think they will miss Beauchemin a lot in coming season(s) and even that they got Bieksa in roster he is not good as Beauchemin is atm. Beauchemin was helping Fowler in NHL and when Fowler played with Beauchemin he got great stats, Beaucehmin help Lindholm in NHL and when Lindholm played with Beauchemin, Lindholm got great stats same go to Vatanen. von Rantala
There is free agents available and time to make trade, what you want to see that you team do before season start? I hope that we trade some solid second line forward to group, im little bit worried on that fact, we wasnt high scorer team last year, i think Zucker can be star player to us in future and probably in next season already, but we still need one winger in second line, there is possibility that our first line is Parise, Granlund, Pomminville and second is Zucker, Koivu, Niederreiter, and im worried if Niedderreiter good enough to be second liner, but Koivu and Zucker is very good tamdem and could be one of best in NHL in coming seasons.Second opinion what i would keep as better would be Parise, Granlund, Vanek and Zucker, Koivu, Pomminville, that second line was awesome when they play together last year, but Yeo like to keep Pomminville with Granlund and Parise. Let see, but Vanek and Koivu was not good pair, Koivu need fast skaters and Vanek is too lazy in defencive way also to play with Koivu who has high stantard from his own game and from his line mates, Koivu always give everything in ice, and usually he is first forward in defencive zone, and thats why he is not so high scorer. But Vanek go waste in third line also, and that why i would use him in first line and Pomminville in second.
von Rantala
Finally started update my Fantasy hockey league. Now 8 hour behind and stats from seasons 2011-2012 to 2014-2015 is done, same as team trophies and updated this coming season rosters also, after St. Louis and Timonen retired, i sign Parise to my line ups, last three year what he has played in Wild he started to come my favorite player, and last year i love how he played so much that i had to take him my roster and name him to second Alternate Captain, i love how he fight on every puck when he is ice, its take time from him to win my heart, because his big contract and i fear that he might take Captain C from Koivu, but in last season i finally started to love him. After Timonen Retired Dumba take spot from team top 6, atm im about 1,5milj over salary cap, and i have to make hard choose, who i let go Bäckström or Demers. Bäckström was third goalie last year and didnt play any games in my roster (when Dubnyk and Rämö played enough games) so he is very expensive third goalie(over 3milj), or Demers (over 3 milj)who is extra defender (i mean 7th defender) and there is Mike Reilly who i could use in that spot also, but Demers have been my top 3 pointer from defencive group two time already. Once he was tie lead with Timonen when you watch points, and i like him a lot, even that he was 7th defender last year too, i want to keep him, my top 6 defencive group is just so good and deep that every on those guys could play in first pair almost in any team of league. Plus im interested to know what is salary of Zidlicky, i had to let him go couple year/season ago, when his salary was too hight to keep, but he is my big favorite player and i want take him back also. I hate moment when i have to make room in salary cap. I have allowed minor crossing and then that amount is taken out from next season salary cap, but i dont want to go over salary cap in this season, when i dont know what will be Zucker and Vatanen salaries in next coming seasons. von Rantala
Btw Bäckström got games in last year, i realised that i have to realize my win, lost and overtime lose too, i mean two goalies can start more than 82 game in one season, because goalie can ge changed from goal or take in the goal middle of game, what can mean that goalies can play more than total of 82 games in season, but i have to get outcome from 82 game so i can get realistic stats in team stats, i mean win, lose and overtimelose have to add together and i must to get 82 from those. So Bäckström will get games in last season When i start fantasy topic i explain how i realised my stats, i have to realise all stats to 82 games, so my team stats its correct, individual stats i dont need realise. I use examples in my fantasy topic. So you understand what i mean and see that those thats are realistic. In first season i think i was 23 in points :/ but i give a lot handicap in two first season, when i have so much young players in my group who wasnt always regulars players in they rosters, mostly i lose in lock out season, when Scandella, Vatanen, Weber and Demers played mostly in AHL. But from 2013-2014 i start to get all my boyes in ice regulary.

von Rantala
Btw here is my latest update on NHL fantasy team http://fearless-assassins.com/topic/73839-minnesota-wild-lion-fantasy-team/ Will start do my NHL news after i get that ready, probably in mid of next week, and start post those news in September, one team per day is my goal. Btw Bernier made couple year deal, it was good deal for Toronto in my eyes, Let see what they do with Phaneuf if he still continue with team when season start. plus they need forward also, they have to find someone to fill even half of Kessel stats. von Rantala
it will be against Rangers, 6th of november. If and when we can buy tickets Wow against Rangers good team, only sad thing is that when you mention Rangers i again remember that one of my biggest idols ever Martin St. Louis just retired his career, i think he could still play top 2 lines next 2-3 year, i think he retired too yearly, but i respect his decision.
Helsen
Rantala: you are actually 1 of the 2 reasons I want to go to a match haha. I like your enthousiasm! The other reason is I saw kids playing icehockey inside in a shoppingmall in Kaunas Lithuania and that got me interested.

Heheh nice to hear yeah i love Wild and Finnish national team a lot, and loses hurt a lot, and can take several weeks to get them out of my mind, example last game lose against Chicago take my almost 2 month before i was ready to start make me ready for new season, but when you win, its something what stay in your mind for years and years and help u with those hard moments when you team lose games or you have hard time in your life, example finnish national team championship from 2011 is my greatest hockey memory ever, hockey is greatest sport ever and hockey players do a lot charity work also.
