vyder Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Can we add the following? 1. Do not call out hacks in main chat. Team chat an admin or contact them via xfire 2. No Racism 4 Quote
speedfact Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Racism sure...but we dont have a rule against callin out hackers. We can ask that people dont but there is no rule against it. 1 Quote
SiD Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Wouldn't racism fall under the no disrespect rule? 2 Quote

Swag Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Great additions, I think they are necessary. Although I have not yet seen any racism during my time playing on the server. *Knock on wood Quote
docwarren Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I have a bind that says "Please do not call anyone a cheat without proof. If you suspect someone, make demo and submit on Forums or pm an admin or contact them on xfire". 1 Quote
Spyderwebber Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I agree, any racism on the servers shouldn't be tolerated. As for calling out hacks, I agree with Doc; a bind sounds like the right way to go. Rule breakers can be kicked for continuing to break the rules regardless of warnings, etc. right? I can't see us kicking a player not doing anything wrong but pointing out a cheater in group chat. Spyder Quote
putts Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) putting your xfire in that bind would help I'd like to see there being consistency with the no swaring "rule." I see admin stating please don't sware, but there is no rule about it. then I see another admin swaring at another time. No such rule exists, yet some admin tend to think there is. I was told as long as you're not being disrespectful to people with the swaring it is allowed Edited February 24, 2014 by putts Quote

Can anyone confirm this? And if it's true, I think we should allow it. It should help increase communication level like you said, putts. And I agree on the second as well. I never swear, so this rule doesn't really apply to me, but it's a shame to see people in game get as worked up as they do. Maybe instead of warning, we can try to kill them with kindness? I know that when I get fuming mad and someone says something like "Happens to everyone, don't let it get to you", I feel much better. Quote

However, asking people to calm down is not. If there are admins actually "!warn"ing for it, I would suggest taking screenshots and using the Contact Us tab, at the top of the forum, to let the Leaders know about the problem. It should help increase communication level like you said, putts. Sharing of xfire addresses is not allowed, unless with an FA member, as it comes under the "No advertising" rule. If you would like to have admins on xfire, those of us that have it will have put it in our profiles. If it's not there asking an admin on the server for it, or PM'ing them on the forums, is fine. 1 Quote

speedfact Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 1. Do not call out hacks in main chat. Team chat an admin or contact them via xfire Wasn't sure if i need to address this or not but here it goes. We don't warn for this. We can bind ask them not to call out hackers, we can tell them not to, ask em not to but we do not warn people for calling out hackers. It prevents people from notifying admin if there really is a hacker on and we just don't notice them. Therefore it is not a rule on our server and will not be added. Racism, like sid pointed out, falls under respect and can also be classified as bitching. We don't tolerate it at all. As for the swearing things, I swear all the time lol. So please let us know if someone is warning people for cussing. Our server auto warn for cussing, to prevent trolling but other than that theres no rule unless someone is directing the cuss words at someone. (pretty much what heretic said) Quote
Spyderwebber Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Well, I am one who does ask players to watch their language, but usually only if they are using the F*** word or if they are essentially cussing up a storm. This is primarily because of a precedence set before me by other FA members. My understanding it wasn't a rule but more of a request of our players. If I'm out of line here, please let me know. Thanks! Spyder 1 Quote

Not outta line. But again I will say watch your language or settle down but thats it. Why warn for something that the server warns for? lol just dont make sense. Never warned for language, never will. Though if theo saw this he will have a heart attack, comeback from the dead and kill me. 1 Quote
Spyderwebber Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 LOL, and Theo is who I was referring to for my precedence. Thanks! Quote
