Justin Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 (edited) Chapter 1: Down to basics. My name is Justin. I'm 23 years old. Minnesota born and raised. However my family hails from Wisconsin so I've grown up a Packers fan. GO PACK GO! Most of my friends hate me during football season. I love sports! I do however sport the home team when it comes to hockey/basketball/baseball although I really only keep track of football, and hockey. I will never turn down an opportunity however to go cheer on the wolves, or twins live. I also play in a yearly fantasy football league with friends. It can get pretty heated. We're all very competitive. I also love playing disc golf, and basketball during the summer. My fiance and I are talking about getting into skiing for the winter, but haven't yet. I would love to play hockey, but I'm awful at ice skating so I'll just stick to rooting for the Wild. Chapter 2: Enough with the sports talk. (sorry) I'm also a rather large geek. I love computers, video games, super heros, star trek, anime, magic the gathering. Unfortunately I don't make quite enough money to be a true hobbyist PC builder, but my most recent rig is at least some what impressive. I've got an Intel i7 3770k Processor, Asus Sabertooth Z87 motherboard, 2x EVGA 660TI, 16GB 1866MHz Ram, 256GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD, and a Toshiba 1TB 7200rpm HDD all in a lovely NZXT phantom 820. I love FPS games, but also play my fair share of RTS, RPG, and MOBA games. I also love puzzle games. Nothing like sharpening your brain with quick thinking and problem solving that a lot of puzzle games have to offer. My favorite super hero is probably Iron Man. I don't consider myself a treky by any means, but I love me some next generation. I haven't watched a lot of anime in sometime, but I've always loved FLCL and Outlaw Star. I've been very into Magic the Gathering as of late. I use to play a lot back in the day, and recently a large group of my friends have all started getting back or now into it. We've been getting together like every weekend to play countless games and down a few beers. Chapter 3: Ein Bier, Bitte! I do love to drink, and get drunk in the company of friends or at special events/music concerts, and even a nice wine with dinner. I do enjoy my beer. I prefer either a nice lager, or a good wheat beer. Blue Moon, or Leinenkugel's is typically my stand by whenever going out to a place that may be lacking in their beer selection. Some of my favorite beers have been Hitachino Nest White Ale, Bell's Oberon Ale, Allagash White, Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesn, Harp. When it comes to hard liquor the drink that you'll find in my hand most is usually a Grey Goose and pineapple. I also enjoy a glass of Canadian Club 12 year small batch. When it comes to wine I love a good Merlot. I don't smoke anymore, but from time to time I do also enjoy a nice cigar while drinking. Chapter 4: Music. I love music, and I listen to very many different types of genres. When it comes to radio I only listen to Minnesota local radio 89.3 the current. I love going to concerts. My favorite venue in Minnesota is definitely First Ave. During the summer last year I was probably going to 2 or more shows a week. Unfortunately right now during the winter no one wants to come play here because it is a barren frozen wasteland so there isn't often as much going on. Some of my favorite concerts of 2013 included performances by Local Natives, Crystal Castles, Dawes, CHVRCHES, Trampled By Turtles, Atmosphere. I always love discovering new bands. I often like to attend some of the smaller venue shows of bands I've never heard of just to see what's maybe up and coming, or even just for something to do. Chapter 5: La Fin Well this should give a good overview of who I am. I look forward to getting to know everyone here in the FA community, and I hope this was a good read for some of you to get to know me. Edited January 14, 2014 by Justin 8 Quote

Antichrist Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Holy shit that's a thorough intro. Most folks just say "Hey" lol Welcome to the forums man. If you ever need a break from COD, or just want to frag with some new people, check out Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, we have the download available in our download section at the top of the forums, 2.6b full version. Justin Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 At some point I will definitely check that out. Quote
Antichrist Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 NO! Don't fall for it! Its a trap! Psh. Speed is jealous that ET is a free game that's 10 years old.. and F|A still has servers that are completely full The graphics are far less impressive than what you have in COD 4. The game is all about simplicity, and still having a functional and challenging FPS game. We have 11 servers I believe now, and ET offers over 500 different maps to play on. Each server has about 25 maps or so, depending on the mod used on that specific server. It also has cool teamplay objectives, stealing things from the enemy, taking them somewhere, guiding trucks/tanks all kinds of cool stuff. For a free game, there's nothing to lose 1 Quote
speedfact Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Psh. Speed is jealous that ET is a free game that's 10 years old.. and F|A still has servers that are completely full we have full servers on cod too.... just not as many as you all. i got to go pull out my tent. Quote

CoD has next to no team-based play, no classes with unique abilities to help the team, just frag frag yawn. Speed is just butthurt because he is level 1 on HC. we have full servers on cod too.... just not as many as you all. i got to go pull out my tent. Pitching a tent over CoD? Wow dude.. Also, hi Justin! Edited January 15, 2014 by Chuckun Quote
