Xernicus Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Ah, I just tried it out... when I try to connect to any of my regular JayMod servers, it's gives me3 an error code 0 and says that it can't load JayMod2.2.0.pk3... But I copied over my PK3 files and ETKey from my regular ET installation- could that be the problem? I have ran the F|A PK3 cleaner numerous times (in both the program files and user files directory)Also, where are the PK3 files kept? %programfiles(x86)%\ETLegacy or %userfiles%\Documents\ETLegacy?Thanks in advance, sorry if this is a dumb question. The good ol' original W:ET does not like my new fangled hardware, and I'm looking forward to getting to try out Legacy.As for the etkey's... you just reminded me to back them up (I do it usually quarterly, that way if one gets lost, or is bured deep somewhere I have another copy), so thank you very much! Many of us have problems running ET because it's not very compatible with new video cards, memory allocation, and multi-cores. It also actually has support, and is actively being developed. There have been many bugfixes I've heard of, and I've seen increases in FPS around 300% (in screenshots) just from the fact that it's written with support for newer computers. 1 Quote

I could check on my Surface pro 2, but I don't have my ETKey on here, and I don't want any admins thinking that I'm an imposter... I seem to recall about a 200% increase... from an average of 40-50fps to an average of around 90-120fps with ET: Legacy. Quote

Xernicus Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Haven't had that issue, but i can confirm it's hard to navigate the menu. I'll see if that issue occurs on my tablet. I just remoted into my desktop computer and uploaded my ETKey to my skydrive... time to get paid to play. Quote

For example in W ET we had a dark space in console on the left edge of the screen, in ET L it has been changed for normal background so it's easier to view logs in console. Also before connecting to server check options, there are some new options For example support for hd resolutions,(i have to test alt tab thing on windows...), directories are more tidy. Alt+tab feature works great! No et crashes, no lags during alt tab. There is cvar also for turning of sounds while minimized. Th3o P.S.
