Jaymod1 Oasis Map

Today on Jay1 on map Oasis, the wall had been dynamited but the Axis flag was still able to be captured. Just wanted to report that bug/glitch and see if anyone else encounters it.

You can see the wall is blown but the Axis flag still remains.

It's a glitch that happens from time to time and i understand it can be intentionally done but is rarely seen. There was a post about it but i can't find it since my search skills are lacking.

The map is horrible. on el_kel_final the bots dont even move, i think that's what it's called its bad as well.

its not even the original stock map Oasis as well, regardless this stopwatch version is at least better than the original regardless of it being a campfest and a lagfest.... what still disappoints me (most likely due to ET tech of 2003) is that 2012 computers without a beefy CPU and a decent gfx card will pull 20fps.

 

cant help it much about the fps lagfest of jay1 or 2, most players have shit computers not really meant for gaming anyway.

 

that glitch can be easily patched so not a big deal, problem it's that it's most likely to happen when axis reclaim flag AS the wall is blown up, same issue has been known to happen in the original oasis as well, from what i can recall.

 

if we're looking to replace map id suggest MLB temple for jay1 because the server is mostly the one with the most people at times; but i dont think this is necessarily the right topic as of now.

Oasis sucks anyway, the worst original map. Railgun is even better.

I am going to try new mapscript for it. Let's see if that fixes the issue.

Lets be realistic the majority of maps are campfest on a 50+ slot jaymod server. Most of these maps were created for 16vs.16 max. Second point every time we add a lesser known map to Jay1 or Jay2 the same people b***ing about the old map are b***ing about the new map. Typical FML for ET.

It was extrememly bad last night with a full server. Only on fuel I had +20 ping than normal for most of the map whenever i entered the axis base, and periodical fps drops at the same time.

It doesnt matter what the replacement is i would just be happy to see it go but if you want me to suggest a map id say any MLB map . Like bring back daybreak or get egypt http://fearless-assassins.com/files/file/403-mlb-egypt-mlb-egyptpk3/ . ANYTHING except oasis ~_~

I loved Daybreak when it was on jay1 quite some time ago. People complained that the map was quite long, but I didn't mind because the map to me was extremely fun.
