In Honor Of W:ET's 9th Birthday Post your Most Memorable ET Moments

In honor of ET's 9th birthday and after seeing a similar topic on SD forums I thought it might be nice if we posted our all time favorite ET moments from the past 9 years.

 

For me I have a few moments that really stand out in my mind. The first is figuring out how to do arty with binocs after playing Fop for a year. The second was a friend helping me by sharing his config which completely enhanced my gameplay i played for years with default set up I still play with that same config since 2007. The third goes back to 2008 when I first got into ET pro, I was scrimming 5v5 with my clan mates against some random team we found on Mirc. They were such skill fakers and pwning us badly I was allied engy on supply, somehow I got the room to construct the crane control undetected I was so nervous instead of pliers I dropped a nade which ended up killing me before I could finish building the controls. What a facepalm. I wish my old clan forums was still online the demo was posted there. Overall mybest moments were thise knuckle biting situations like getting kill with low hp with last bullet in the clip or healing 4 teammates while getting shot at and dying after making the last heal. But my ultimate was on Goldrush was getting tossed in the air by arty while holding the gold crate and landing and dying in the truck to the sweet sound of "Allies have secured the second gold crate"

First steps on ET :

 

My first steps on ET, in september 2009, on a turkish server

My first killing spree, made 2.5 years ago with the tank-mounted brawning in Venise

My first rampage, made 2.5 years ago with the mobile mg42 in paris-bastille, stopped by the player Master Chief with his riflenade after 10 kills (I'm the best to remember useless detals)

My first Dominating, made 2 years ago on GA-Goldrush by spamming allies spawn with ffe

My first Unstoppable, made 2 years ago on Pacman by killing the same afk with my riflenade from the 'roof' of the map

My first 'God of War' (I was very glad, it was almost an exploit), made on GA-Goldrush by spamming axis spawn with arty.

My first ultrakill, made on mlb-temple by spamming axis spawn with ffe

My first steps on =F|A=Noquarter, in august 2010.

 

Memorable moments :

 

-The player called hansol was healing himself near ammo&health packs, I killed him with my riflenade and his corpse 'flew away'. Then, I healed myself at the place where he was when he got killed, and suddenly....I got killed. How? He hadn't pressed 'space' (to respawn) yet, and when his corpse fell (it was 'flying')....it stomped me.

-Panza cam and all the kills I made with, especially when I had 60 kills sprees with it.

-I was in the allies spawn with my flamethrower (I was axis) on etbeach (the spawn was a bunker, and in this bunker, there was health and ammo packs), hidden in a corner. A cvops threw a smoke screen on my position. Then, I started to burn the whole team, while the people I was burning were totally confused, shooting their own teammates. Few lucky survivors managed to escape from the barbecue

-The most recent : was allies on Codenam Lachs, disguised, and I started to push axis to death from the hill. An axis spotted me, and tried to kill me. His teammates, thinking that he was disguised and that I was an innocent victim, shot him and pushed him to death.

 

There are other memorable moments, but this post is long enough I think

Mmmh... I remember seeing Dare play ET! .. I also had fun panzawar times with MilkTea :] When I first played ET I only used to snipe.. I remember getting a 60+ killing spree and those of the other team kept saying "geez you have eyes everywhere" .. they knew where I was all the time, they just couldn't kill me before I killed them which was funny for me.

But the absolute best moments of ET is meeting a lot of new great friends :]

First good memory was in yeaaars back when i joined 1 of the best clans in etpro or silent cant remeber <IC> and i reached rank 22 in sl

Then i took break for year or 3 and started jaymod after it i played alot in FA jay2 and got lots of friends (special thanks to Mattle + Smoke) then i applied and got in FA that must be most recent great memory

hummm First time I found out how to use a mobile (omg! that thing should come with a "how to use it" for noobs)

When i started learning english or I would get kicked for not disarming dynas, giving out med and ammo packs and so on

When I met *S*R* backw3rds.

When I met *S*R* Striking Viper

When i was invited to join their clan

First time I learned that there was such things as "fire for effect" (i used to just throw the can)

When I made Dunk Punch.

When I was invited to join FAG.

When I used to play with my friends and mess around on ventrilo.

And all the good days between these days above. All the days i had, in this game, that were drama free, are all memorable, Every player (that was a nice person too) I met, every dyna i disarmed, saving the fuel (lol it gives a rush! omg!), every lucky shot that made me kill the best player... everything is memorable. I love this game <3

my first scrim with NB : i had a joint in my mouth and my microphone was melting. I paniced and spilled my beer over keyboard;

Beating one of the best teams (Bus Drivers) in North America in a ETL 6v6 semi final match. They had Anim, Bliss, Ceres, Godfather, Pony Express or something and whoever else.

 

Also the first day when I applied for Evil and I drove to Walmart that night to get a headset to join their TeamSpeak server during my application.

 

And playing with the FA scrim team FEAR was fun because some people had experience and some completely green to scrimming.

Alot of good friends, alot of nights without any sleep, the famous ENEMIES OF WAR group, alot of scrims, joining FA, many years of playing the crap ^^ ... it was a good time

Hmmm..so many memories, so little effort to type. HOWEVER! HEre we go!

 

1: First memory was battery... Jumped into game and got my ass kicked. But it was sooo much fun, playing covert ops I think. I had no idea what I was doing, but I remember laughing every time I'd get a headshot with the sniper rifle. TING. TING.

 

2: Another was my first venture into Jaymod.. DOUBLE JUMP FTW. It's like.. every map I had played became new again. FInd new locations to hide from to snipe people... just amazing!

 

3: Getting the most kills in Gold Rush as covert ops... (Used to be my FAVORITE class before the enemy in disguise crap on Jay servers).. I would sneak around disguised as others, backstabbing them when they passed me. Sten for headhsot obliteration! I believe... if memory serves.. around 65 kills and 4-8 deaths (I know it was under 10 ^.^). I miss those days T_T

 

4: My first panzer... OH EM GEE. I never really played soldier much until I found the panzer. It would slowly compete with covert ops for my favorite class. My favorite use for it? MEDICS. No need for explanation

 

5: LoL... getting muted A LOT. Back then I was around 18?.. And I had a mouth like a sailor. Still do, but I'm better at concealing it now. Every game I'd be muted for half the match because I would spaz at trying to go toe to toe with medics and always getting raped. >.< The F word was like every other word. Good times..

 

6: *Dark* Clan. Probably my favorite memories for a bit. I remember finding Dark server, they were new and slowly building. They had a lot of great players... So I decided to play on their server for a bit, having fun with the members, getting to know everyone. All of a sudden, after doing well in a pub match, the leader Timmy asked me if I'd like to join. I remmeber saying that I wasn't that great, and he said that I would learn. Within 2 months I had been promoted to co-leader and helped make *Dark* a pretty good clan.

 

7: My first scrim. We were against a clan called {PG} and two two maps we played, they were defending. They had 3 medics most of the time and were pretty good. We had 1 engy, 1 medic, and me the soldier. PANZAPOWAH. I got called a noob so many times that match, but I didn't care.. we won. Both matches!

 

8: Training grounds.. A bunch of us thought that mandatory clan training was a good idea. We opened up a second server that was private, and filled it with bots. The first training was just against bots. I had a ahrd time with them at first, because of their quick auto aiming. Once I had mastered them, we would do 1v1 with average players like myself, against the 'pros' of our clan. I can't tell you how many times I cursed our member AManG(+)neMad... He always played medic, but I soon learned a lot of his techniques. Side to side moving while firing, crouching to improve acc, always turning around every couple of seconds to be prepared for back rapers. Great times!

 

9: My first mod servers! After a while we diecided to venture into mods. We got things like the modded gold rush, sabrepeak, and um.. that one map that's like a giant house. So much fun. In honor of myself, they even had it so that medics couldn't self heal xD They had to find health stations or have another medic heal them. It made the game way more interesting to learn.

 

10: The fall of *Dark*... This is probably the saddest thing I remember. There became a lot of random internal conflict. Some people fought to the point that some of us no longer spoke, people would backstab each other..etc.. It came to the point that Timmy just said that Dark was no more and we all went our seperate ways. I miss those guys, and still wonder how they're all doing from time to time.

 

11: =F|A= clan. Seriously, since I came back from a 4+ year break..I couldn`t have found a place better to get some new memories. You ladies and gentlemen have been like an online family of sorts. From my trial, to getting promoted, busting hackers, and just general shenanigans on server (most of the time me having been drinking), it`s been a blast. With a clan like this, I`m sure there will be memories to come for years. Thanks for everything thus far. <3

At first always playing engineer with the [exe] clan where I met those become good friends over the years. There I had the pleasure of meeting skully, with whom I spent perhaps the best moments in ET.

I played on eow server, in 2009 (i think). I was really bad. And it was on baserace. Snake tried to kill me in the tunnel (middle of map). He followed me close, but not enough for kill me. And I decided to throw grenade on the ground. He has not seen the grenade and BOUM! I was happy because it was a big ennemy for me at this time lol. I'm sure he kille me before and after that... lol.

I played wolf3d somewhere mid 90's then did play RtCW time to time in 2002 - 2003 when I was asked to test "new mod" of game in and testing ET oasis map somewhere end of 2002 (I think it was September), looked other two maps also then but those was pretty buggy then. Started play more after release date but only maybe once a week and just wondering around maps.

 

Then in 2004 I was asked to join team [MeG] there I played somewhere end of 2006 and we played only pro mod participated also on opencup in 2006. Joined clanbase and statcounter also then. Played over year that team and people start fade from team and few of us joined team finCobras in 2007 and we played some pro mod games but they where way much better player than me so I just play training matches and try learn . Played a lot on international servers then and find my self on Spladderladder place 10000+ (there was over 100000 players registered back then). Played a lot on US servers and specially I remember SK clan server there (cant remember what that sk was ment)

 

In 2008 I joined Braveheart (BH) clan and played there few years and was high admin there in september of 2010, and played still a lot on many other international servers nearly daily (Playing when I was not traveling. but I was traveling 100d/year since 2001, sometimes more than that). Joined FA forums in 31.12.2010 and recruited to FA in January - February 2011.

 

In overall have "seen" a lot of players during years and get good friends from there and hope fully get more. These above text are directly from memory and are bit fuzzy cause lot of things happened back then.

Most memorable moments are with my friends on Masa's TS. Boombas, Masa, Reptile, Whitecat, Do'well, Raziel, Strobel/Strangelove, and many who have come and go.
