I was having the same problem so I went under the favorites and put the ip in and it came up.

hmmm I tried that but it doesn't seem to want to take, I actually just connect through xfire. Since with the patch I got I have to restart like 4 times lol.

That will not work either because their is no port in it.

Don't do Quick Refresh.. do full refresh and wait till all servers are being loaded.Then sort by max players and you will see ours.

Most people have a patch switcher. It didn't work for me so I have 2 different installs. I updated my 1.6 to the 1.7 patch and made it a different folder name ie: activision 2. Then reinstalled the game and left it as 1.6. I have the cd so if you have it through steam you may have to try the patch switcher. to get the patch selector you have to first download this:

then once you have download this to go from 1.6 to 1.7 you have to download this:

http://www.xfire.com/downloads/3228/

 

it will download thru xfire.

 

and to go from 1.7 to 1.6 you have to download this:

http://www.xfire.com/downloads/3197/

 

after you download the patch selector that is.

lol np, had to install/reinstall like 14 times...but i havent test it on a steam version. If someone wants to let me know if it works thanks.

if you have trouble finding a =F|A= server, use x-fire and make sure you are part of the fearless assassins group. All of the servers will show up on your x-fire and there will be no need to hunt down ip addresses. the steam version works OK, but its king of a pain. I will try and find the simple version of the patch switcher I installed a long time ago and post it in downloads.

Patch switch works for me. Had ver 1.7 and now i can easily go to 1.6 and visit 2 other FA servers in CoD4 instead of the 1.7 SC server.
