How do I get a private server on my own computer to open a custom map so I can walk through it/spec it at my leisure? I know how to make a server, that is easy, just don't know what exactly to do in the server.cfg file and don't want to screw it up. I think I just change the name of the map in this part of the server.cfg file:

exec campaigncycle.cfg // Campaign mode

//exec objectivecycle.cfg // Objective mode

//exec lmscycle.cfg // Last Man Standing mode

 

But perhaps Dare can clarify this for efficiency and for anyone else like me.

You need to test 1 map at a time. You can use the main menu of game when you start game. Click on host game -> then click in gametype -> single map objective - select map and then start server.

 

If you don't see your map in list delete few old maps from etmain and copy to same place and when you are done testing replace old maps if you don't like to re download all.
