-=Medic=- Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 We will see... my personal opinion is, if you want MS to innovate, one thing to do is: dismiss Steve Ballmer from MS.. seriously, since Bill gate left his position, this guy is not a visionary person Just check youtube and watch his position about any new product when it come out, start from the iphone and then until today, also I found this few times ago: The Top Five Reasons Why Steve Ballmer Will Fail at Microsoft I almost agree with all the points he wrote: Ballmer Just Has No Vision Ballmer Doesn't Know How to Simplify Ballmer Doesn't Understand the Technical Details Ballmer Doesn't Understand What the Public Wants Ballmer Doesn't Command Respect Some people laugh when they watch this video, but personally it didn't make laugh cos what I saw is that MS is having the worst CEO since Bill gate http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXq9NTjEdTo Quote
Corey Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I could see myself using a windows 8 tablet if it had a good marketplace for games and such. Quote
General Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Sooo.......Windows is becoming a Chameleon? He talked about Windows adapting to the user/environment ^^ Looks kinda cool. I like old UI better tho cuz its more familiar - But i dont understand the ARM thing... Quote
Blackguard Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Looks a lot like we're picking up scraps from a project to make an operating system for ARM driven mobile devices. Many of which have little to no productive use for me. That's not to say they won't be useful to somebody, it's just my interest in this new feature set is purely trivial. It comes across a toy, when what I wanted was an adding machine. That is to be expected though I suppose. when your demographic is such a small cross-section of the target audience. Unfortunately like Medic pointed out, Ballmer and Microsoft haven't really done much ( or anything ) here you could call new or groundbreaking. Whether it'll be exciting or not to general users I'm not sure. Quote
