Doesn't PB kick you for changing name?

I once changed my name from ETPlayer to darkfang77 and I got kicked for "too many name changes" even though it was only once.

You can also make a new profile in the main menu once you start the game and set it to your default and then you wouldn't have to run the risk of pb kicking.

to darkfang,

That's probably because you tried to change your name through ESC > Options > Game > Name

Here, once you backspace a single letter, it counts it as a name change..

So if you backspace ETPlayer out, it changes the name 8 times since the name consists of 8

letters (you can see this in console). So just try /name urname in console as suggested

Ahh that clears everything up thanks!

(I didn't know that you could do /name until today anyway but thanx!)

Little question:

In a server I would change my colours in limbo but when I backspaced my name I pressed L again so limbo closed and I got kicked(reason no name).

So if this happens in the future, how can I fix it?

Not sure if you can change your name in limbo menu. you should click options and game. there can you change the colors of your name.

or in console and what the others said

/name ^9k^7i^Gll^:a^9r^0! or whatever you want as colors

You can change your name in console, but, don't use spaces, by example

if you write in limbo 'your mom' in-game it will appear like 'your'

are you sure? (talking about ET, right?) maybe you need to put it between quotes like:

/seta name "some name"

and it should work.... never had problems with spaces myself

once you backspace, don't press enter,

make sure you are typing in the text box when you type L
