Clan Friend SunLight Posted January 16, 2011 Clan Friend Posted January 16, 2011 RTCW -> mp40 is different than thompson Enemy Territory (ET) -> They are *exactly* the same weapon, only the sound and gfx change, but they have the same rate of fire, and they deal the same damage I prefer thompson for the sound, but ofc I get the same accuracy, since it's the same weapon, and I often play without sound. Some people read old tutorials for RTCW and think they are different, but it's just a placebo effect. The thing I hate most is when I pick an mp40 on the ground and I fight against a player with mp40... awful cacophony Quote

I also prefer to play on allies most of the time. the main reason is beacuse i dont like defending and almost all maps are allies attacking and axis defending. Quote

But I have always liked the mp40's look and i am a bit biased toward it, most likely from my RTCW days when it was a better gun to use then the thompson. But my real favorite weapon is the k43/garand. Rifle ftw. Quote
