I was asking generally, I actually didnt know it wasn’t enabled on S1.

okay, maybe poor choice of words from me.

in regards of silent 1 I only meant the server settings, not the rule itself.

Yes that is what I meant, too. I gotcha.

For me self self-killing is same as, self-vaporizing with Panzer to avoid death from poison, using a satchel or nade to kill urself while being poisoned. or jumping from a height to die. People use lots of tactics to avoid death, so let's not make self-kill an issue.

I do it a lot lol. Something about using self kill as a someone shoots a panzer and they just kill themselves and not me gives me a warm feeling 🥰. It’s definitely cheap, but quite a bit of the stuff on Jaymod is so better to use it to your advantage if you can 🤓

Oh this is me. I’m all for milking myself.

big supporter of it ! 😄

as mentioned it is a strategy for self killing. Sometimes you notice most of your team is dead and you rather play together then be alone in middle of map and you know 6 enemies are around the corner and u have half a clip left. So self kill is a valuable tool on that.

to avoid rnades, ur kinda lame for that. But it’s also kind of lame to have that recharge so fast and have 5/6 rnades flying at you at once.

for panzers. I hate them and I hate the way people use them. If we are in close quarter combat, and I hear a panzer wind up. Sorry your the fool that killed themself with a panzer not me.. I’ll wait a full spawn before I let someone do that one on me. Specially if it’s someone who doesn’t ever put the panzer away (as s1 has no panzer rule) if it’s a long range open shot and I see it comin, I’ll let it happen.

there’s just many different reasons and ways people use it. It would hurt more than benefit by putting rules or restrictions. Also like what coca said, the headache of enforcing it 🙄 haha

Erm I didn't expect so many of you doing it tbf 😄 I'm more or less on the same page as @Daddy. It doesn't frustrate me when someone does it, but it feels kinda unfair for the person that was about to kill you and they are basically left with nothing; no kill, no xp, just wasted time, bullets and effort. Panzerfaust, poison knives are part of the game and these just should be accepted even though pretty much no one likes them.

/kill is part of the game, it's a tool for certain situations.

Also, I'm pretty sure that this can't go spec to avoid death rule is only there to enforce the asinine poison knives mechanic.

No rule specifically saying you can't quit and rejoin server to avoid death.

It is pertaining to avoiding death in general. (robbing someone of a kill) as it won't count as a "scared to death"

This should IMO still imply under rule #27. It is basically the same concept.

Perhaps maybe since there is always that one person that feels they are above everyone else and spends exceeded amounts of efforts into finding loopholes. Possibly this rule could be reworded a bit. But the end result is still the same. You are robbing someone of their XP. Because, at the end of the day you are awarded XP even if someone does kill out and it displays, they are "scared to death by"

List of rules

27. Moving to spec for specifically avoiding death is not allowed. Depending on current/past behavior, offending players will be warned or kicked or banned, based on =F|A= discretion.

This. I think the same.

Yeah, I was in a clan that enforced a rule about self kill. More-so for the obvious ones, but people would get their panties in a bunch looking for it.  It isn’t really enforceable, from experience and it becomes a he said/did, she said/did battle. 100%.  Definitely not implying we add a new rule.

There is also a way you can (I know on Silent you can) but enforce a certain amount of /kills per map. For example allowing 3 self kills. Only way around it beyond that point is to reconnect.
