DESPERATE for HELP

hi everyone i decided to play once again my childhood game W ET but i forgot how to do all the stuff i need to play on the FA server, things i need to download to enter in the server and start the internal downloads cuz i cant get in, some old version msgs keep comming and mod stuff i dont have, can someone be kind and give me all the links i need to play this awesome game again ill be so gratefull

Yup, Game is unable to create directory. So permission issue > running as admin should solve the problem

Which version did you download: 32 or 64 bit?

Have you trier downloading the original ET, from splashdamage.

Yeah think i'll double down and stick with permission issues, regardless of the reason its not allowed to write to said folder.

Answer the other questions from peeps if possible, will help narrow down the list of reasons if nothing more.

 

Also if you know how to check if you have ownership and the required rights it may be of help too.

If your unsure you can use something like grantperms to do most of the tech permission stuff for you.

P.S Would help to know which windows too as 11 for instance has a few added security steps that may need to be addressed/bypassed to allow access.

 

Does say that its a permission issue.

Either its being blocked in your firewall or windows security and UAC is blocking it for whatever reason.

Are you sure you are running the etl.exe and not the etlded.exe?
