Hey my laptop is dead and i saved my ET folder. But I'm not sure how to transfer my profile to my old computer it already has ET installed and working. Do i need to change my guide on here og do they also transfer?

you need to move ur etkey and write cfg so u dont lose ur guid/xp and settings ofcourse. i made this mistake last week  it is in the my documents folder > etlegacy > etkey. your cfg should be your profile name or autoexec.cfg put it in your new etmain folder and do /exec filename.cfg when in game in console.

And you need also silent.dat/nitmod.dat from mod folders.

If you saved whole ET Folder, just copy on the old pc and eventually overwrite files, it works.

Thanks for all of your inputs. i dont know where the etkey is, so im just gonna try and copy the whole thing

It's in your etmain folder

FWIW i and a few others never install ET and just drag and drop the entire folder to desktop etc with a new windows install.

Its working now.
i just dropped the whole backup ET folder i had onto this computer and it worked just fine.
