Human Posted October 17, 2020 Share Posted October 17, 2020 Hi, I was hoping to play on the silent mod servers but I disconnect with a recursive error about dllentry whenever I try to join a silent mod server. I am using the ET: Legacy client from lutris. If anyone has any experience with this error I would appreciate any help. I am not sure what you mean by this, the script looks like it downloads the etlegacy client and 260b from trackbase and runs the etkey script. I do not know what is really happening now.. but yet still without sound. Furthermore, then I tried join the F|A Beginner 2 from the F|A menu button inside the game (F|A Beginner 1), but the same old problem happened again, the ETL has crashed again and exited with the same previous mentioned error messages 🙈 Should I delete the 'ui.mp.i386.so' in the Jaymod folder and set back from the start? or should I just leave it there? The Silent folder is already created during joining attempt to the F|A Beginner 2 (Silent) server, but the game (ETL) just got sudden crash and exit at the downloading required files while joining the servers. BlackWolf Posted January 14, 2021 Share Posted January 14, 2021 (edited) This post is from a little while back (I've only just seen it) but hopefully the below will assist anyone else with this issue. 64 bit ETLegacy client will only work with servers running ETLegacy mod. If the server is running a mod aswell, such as SilEnT or Jaymod, it will crash on connection. You need to install the 32 bit version and you can then connect just fine. Dependencies will need to be installed for i386 compatibility. I've tested this on our SilEnT servers and Jaymod, and it works just fine on Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Fedora (KDE). Running the 64 bit version causes a crash on connection. The original ET 2.60b installed also works, although you will need to work around quite a bit to get audio working as OSS is depreciated.
