G!NG3R420
Not sure if this is even possible but I figured I would ask anyway. I know their are a few perks for being in a fireteam already. You can pull up mini map and view their location as well as their info in the corner. My idea refers to the "following player" when you die. Is it possible to have the "follow player" focus on your fireteam members if you are in one when you die? (ie. FT Alpha has 4 players in the squad, 1 player dies and can cycle through the other 3 members that are alive before following members outside of the FT which would be on your team either axis or allies) This would be pretty cool to be able to see what your fellow members are doing instead of having to hurry and find them before you spawn. I feel if this feature can be accomplished it would generate more use of the FT for those players that are of the same skill lvl or understanding of similar game play on the given map. If this is already in place I apologize for wasting the suggestion but would ask in return an explanation of how to set it for my use since I do not see it happening when I am in FT. Thanks!! Administrators daredevil Posted October 17, 2010 Administrators Share Posted October 17, 2010 Not sure if it's doable or not but since we are developing new mod, you might want to post it here. http://mygamingtalk.com/forums/forum/10-feature-requests/ Idea is neat. I like it.
Chuckun
Not that it matters whether I support you or not, your idea gets a bit +1 from me! I don't always use fireteams but I do agree this would be a great addition Chuck
Jorz
i am pretty sure that when you die you follow the next player slot closer to yours, cuz when i die i spec an exact player and if i press fire it changes but when i die again i follow again an exact player and not who i selected on my first death. And i also agree good suggestion!+

TheDuck
So when a player dies they follow the next player slot number, then would it be possible to set it up that any slot numbers in your fireteam would be on the cycle rotation first, however that may be done. Administrators daredevil Posted January 22, 2011 Administrators Share Posted January 22, 2011 http://mygamingtalk.com/forums/topic/155-fireteam-idea/ Implemented in silent mod. The idea has been implemented. There is new config menu option to enable this.In order to enable FT only spec mode go to: silEnT->CONFIG and set "Follow FT members in spec" option to one of the following: Disabled (default, standard way) FT members first Only FT members or us client side cvar: cg_followFT [0|1|2] 0 - disables feature (works as usual then) 1 - follow Fire Team members first when in spec 2 - follow only Fire Team members when in spec. Options 1 and 2 work only when the player is in the Fire Team. When the player is not in FT then they do not influence the spec behavior. Default:
