All right. Soon, my favourite hobby, shooting and specifically, sports shooting will have its 2nd anniversary. As the permissions are not easy to get and there are no commercial shooting ranges where you can start directly with a firearm at most of the local shooting clubs, I joined the local sports marksmen's club. I had to start with an air pistol, but later on, as I had practiced enough with an air pistol, I managed to score over 500 points out of 600 maximum, which is the maximum amount of points for 60 air gun pellets shot, for both pistol and rifle. What weapons do you have, what is the legislation in your countries regarding the weapons and what will be your goals in this hobby?

Did anyone watch the fight in Austrailia last night? 11:30pm EST US. Pacpuiao lost to Jeff Horn, an Austrailian in a unanimous decision. I watched this, and, tbh, it seemed to be a draw at best by the end of the fight. Horn won early rounds, Manny had the middle , but the end was pretty split, going the full 12 rounds. Manny lost his title as well. the fix is in, imo. But, Manny is a great sportsman ands respects the decision. Manny is considering a rematch and Horn call out Maywaeather Jr now. Could get interesting... What say you?

A ten-man Real Madrid came from a goal down at Camp Nou to secure their first league win over arch-rivals Barcelona since 2014, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s 85th minute goal giving manager Zinedine Zidane a win in his first ever El Clasico. Real Madrid produced a dramatic second half comeback to beat Barcelona 2-1, reducing the gap at the top of La Liga to seven points after an all-action El Clasico on Saturday evening. The 172nd league meeting between Spanish football’s most prestigious pair looked destined to end in a hard fought draw after Karim Benzema’s acrobatic volley just after the hour canceled out Gerard Pique’s headed opener for Barcelona. However, Cristiano Ronaldo settled the match with a low strike past Keylor Navas with just five minutes of the ninety remaining. Real will feel as though justice was served after Gareth Bale had a goal disallowed moments before for what the referee deemed a foul on Jordi Alba. The Welsh winger beat the Barca defender to head in at the near post, but was ruled to have pushed Alba in the process. Los Blancos were reduced to ten men when Sergio Ramos was shown a second yellow card for a late challenge on Luis Suarez moments after the contentious disallowed goal. Ronaldo settled the tie with his 29th league goal of the season. The win moves Real to within seven points of Barca at the top of La Liga, but with just seven games remaining and considering the all too regular gulf in class in the Spanish top flight, many have already proclaimed the Catalan side the champions elect. Nevertheless, this was a huge win for Real Madrid, regardless of what it means in terms of the league table. The last meeting between the two sides saw Luis Enrique’s Barca triumph 4-0 at the Bernabeu in what was one of the final nails in the coffin of former manager Rafa Benitez. Five months on and it was Zinedine Zidane’s turn to take to the touchline in club football’s most revered league series, his first El Clasico as Real Madrid manager, and the win will go a long way to silencing those doubting his credentials. The former France captain has seen his side win their last six games, scoring twenty goals in the process. The way Real went at Barcelona in the last 15 minutes, despite being reduced to 10 men, will give fans around the world renewed belief of a trophy-laden close season. The club have a Champions League quarter final against German side Wolfsburg to look forward to this month, and while the La Liga title remains a mathematical possibility, Zidane will expect the same level of commitment and desire as he saw on Saturday evening at the Nou Camp, with the win sure to live long in the memories of players and fans alike. For the UFC/MMA fans, Great fight night, especially for the 2 main events. I think we saw very interesting life lessons when the 2 champions lost. Firstly, Holm vs Tate. 2 completely differents fighters. Really liked the matchup and the fight. Incredible on how sometimes you know you just have to cruise to get the win and then 0.1 second of an idea brings an attack, which could have been legitimate, puts you in a bad shape and then there's nothing to do to get out of trouble. You are screwed. Holly Holm should have been more solid on defense and as every second counts, when you are into 5th round and you lost a lot of energy. Tate was really patient and took the opportunity when Holm let her one. Seriously without the open ooportunity it was an easy finish and win for Holm. Sometimes trying to win more points when it doesn't really matter anymore puts you down. You are wining the hockey game 10-5, you have 5 minutes left but you are still trying to score goals. You do a bad move you hurt yourself then the door is open for a comeback. Think strategy to win. Then, Conor McGregor the loudmouth phenom, I seemed to do good in the first round and as he took 25 pounds to do the match, 3-4 months were clearly not enough to get him into the best shape he could go 5 rounds with. In the second round, he didn't look like a guy having energy left, in the second round of 5 ... Also, he clearly underestimated how many punches Diaz could get without being knocked out .. and he underestimate the pucnches that Diaz could give. Never underestimate anyone, never. What do you think about yesterday fights ?

Hey, So I figured I'd see how many fellow gamers play racquetball. I'm a casual player currently, but I'm looking to step up my game, and I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions (drills, vids, particular shots, etc...). I know the only way to get better is to play, but help can't hurt. Let me know what y'all think, and I appreciate the help in advance. -nadionnepj P.S. If anyone plays tournament level, could you list your ranking (A, B, C...)? Thanks!

Sports. Be it electronic sports, such as computer games, mental sports such as chess or physical sports. They all exert a sort of attraction on people and sometimes it can be hard to defy them. I feel this way. My body urges me to go to the limit and I can't help it. My favourite sport is cycling. Outdoor cycling. Since I live in an area with where there are a lot of slopes and hills, I use either my mountainbike or my treckingbike. I take my bike out for a ride two or three times a week. Unless it rains. Unfortunately, in Germany there can be quite an amount of rain over a long period. Probably just like England in some ways (is that a stereotype?). However, I have recently been going to spinning classes and found they are pretty fun. Independent from the weather, I can train whenever I want, as long as I want and with the intensity I choose. It is really convenient and I like it. The big plus would be that I don't train on myself, but with a group of people. That way it is much more fun, I make new acquaintances and get to know my own body and its limits even better. If you don't know what spinning is like, I searched two videos on Youtube. The first one gives a pretty good overall impression of this sport. The second one (with only women in it) show some kind of choreo... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XADw0qPVSP4&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9w_t2Z0CRag&feature=related Spinning is very good sport and depending on how you train, you can achieve your goals. Adjust your training methods for your own purpose (fatburning / endurance training / strenght training). The girls in the second video obviously go for a mix of the first two points. A pulse watch comes in handy, since your can monitor your heart rate and adjust more easily your training intensity depending on what you want to achieve in your training. Example: I am 27 years old. According to guidelines my maximum heart rate can be calculated, though it always is only an approximate value, unless calculated by a doctor. My maximum heart rate would be 220 - 27 = 193. Now fatburning starts at 65% (~125) of my maximum heartrate, endurance builds up at 75% (~145) and strength at 85%(~164). Now, while in training, your pulse should never exceed 92%(~177/178), because if it does, your training is pointless. The body will be too exhausted to remember the training and nothing happens - except for a breakdown perhaps. (Mental breakdown as well ). That's something that nearly happened to me not to long ago and I take better care now. Today, I couldn't live without any sports - at least that's what I feel like. Besides sports, there are many more things I wouldn't want to live without though. Number one would be my computer =) So long, Thistle
