    Can't be done without enabling friendly fire. This was discussed in the past for beg2 and went nowhere. I think silent 1 should have FF on anyway since it has a more experienced population..
  3. You can't just drop this and provide no context. Over 530 kills and still 12 min on the clock? Very strange to say the least.

I'm sure they will be thoroughly ignored/dismissed in any practical form but this is the best post about jay 1's imbalances in a long long time.

    I never thought of it this way, now that you've pointed this out I can finally see that it is indeed quite fair for all players involved. Especially when you get hit by a knife that awkwardly bounced off a wall and just grazed the sole of your shoe. It rewards luck and what's more life-like than luck?? Right? Also, adding that extra layer of realism just enhances the experience of immersion in the game. I must confess that sometimes I even think I've been poisoned in real life, woah!!!

    Since we're talking about /kill, you know what would be nice? If we could /kill while poisoned by throwing knife. If you get poisoned by an enemy medic and kill them you can't pick up the packs and cancel the poison effects. Can't /kill either. Seems unfair. Especially because the more opportunistic players will camp in corridors or other narrow areas where avoiding throwing knives is impossible. Anyway, it should be possible to pick up med packs from an enemy medic you've just killed after being poisoned. Or, if not, at least let us /kill 🤷

  13. I really only buy Arbelour 14 yo, so no collection. Don't like the nikkas I tried, too harsh I thought, ice would help but I like to drink it neat. But thanks for the info shared here, will try some of these other ones

    Coffee!!!

    This is how people traditionally make coffee at home in portugal (where I'm from) and Italy too I guess. I always have a bialetti at home.. most times I don't fill the coffee compartment completely to make a weaker coffee and drink big mugs of it:) Also don't forget you need a coarser grind for these.

    /kill is part of the game, it's a tool for certain situations. Also, I'm pretty sure that this can't go spec to avoid death rule is only there to enforce the asinine poison knives mechanic. No rule specifically saying you can't quit and rejoin server to avoid death.

  18. Some time ago I was having lag issues (very much like yours) and using a VPN fixed the issue. It only only happened a few times however. If you're locked in a contract and can't change ISP I'd say maybe give that a go. Btw, nice to see you're back!

    ET Server Suggestion Jay1 map rotation suggestions

    I can maybe speak for everyone who dislikes this map. It's very linear, basic and poorly designed. First area of the map has almost no relation to the second area. Map is big just for the sake of it, often resulting in many empty areas. After 2nd stage the game often splits into 2 main parties, people camping roofs (shooters, arti) and people camping underground (flamers, poison, tunnel rifle nades) which makes the game experience in this map very predictable and therefore not very enjoyable. Also, once you grab objective and successfully leave the poison/flamer/rifle nade camping area it's game over, there's nobody in first area to defend.. and nobody really cares tbh. Hope this helps.
