Hi,

So lately i have huge fps drops which i've never had before. Normally i can play with 125 fps on every map, but that time is over on FA1. Yesterday i played a few games and noticed that my fps is starting to drop on some (heavy) used spots where the enemies are located, the lowest fps i've noticed was around 20. So i thought, lets go to another place on the map where wont be a enemy. Result? 125fps. My next thought was, it might be the map because some other players experienced the same problem. Next map and the one after that was the same problem.  Well, i tried other FA servers and yes 125 stable fps.. even on other mods.

So i think it's because there are to many players on the server which causes the huge fps drops. Eventhough i have the feeling that other players not experiencing this probleem, seeing the way the shoot me or others.

Are there any solutions for this, besides reducing the amount of players that can play on FA1 (ET is not made for 25v25 in my opinion). Please let me know.

Kind regards,

Krepox

Sidenote; before the questions come up about my PC, its good enough to play ET, csgo and many more games on high settings, so that is not the problem.

Ive saw that lately even noticed that on my own, but not related to special mod. had this drops on etpro but i saw ppl complaining about this on HC too. dunno if its server and how to get rid of this or better how to identify the original problem.

I always get large fps drops when the server starts to fill up (as do most). Since your problem is new try blasting out your PC. If you don't already have a program to monitor your temps go ahead and get one and run it before and after your cleaning so you have some base numbers and then run it now and again so you can stay on top of it.

If you made a custom config, you can get your old settings back by issuing "/exec [oldcfg].cfg" in your console. You can also request help for a replacement config here.

I'd do what Haru suggested first and see if it helps. If not, you might check to see if your graphics drivers got automatically updated. Sometimes there can be a bad release or something didn't install correctly causing these issues. Windows Update is notorious for updating graphics drivers with a halfbaked replacement.

Here's how to do check that:

Windows 10

-Open Settings by clicking on the gear that's on the left side of your Start Menu

-Once in Windows Settings, choose Update & Security

-In the Windows Update control panel, click on "View Installed Update History"

-This window will display all of your recent updates.

If your graphics driver was updated you'll see a line that says something like "AMD/Intel/nVidia Corporation driver update for xxx Graphics"

Older Windows versions:

Windows 8/8.1

-Open Settings by typing it into the sidebar

-Using the navigation bar on the left side of the Settings Window, choose "Update and Recovery"

-Click/tap on View Update History

Windows 7/Vista

-Open the Control Panel

-Choose "Windows Update" if you're in "Icons" mode. If you're in Category mode, put it in Icons mode using the small "View By" dropdown box in the upper right corner.

-Click on "View Update History" on the left sidebar

Windows XP

-No need to check. Nothing got updated.

Noticed it here, too, which prompted me to clean my case out, new thermal past, clean my CPU Cooler fan, etc. It'll just hit all of a sudden, from 125 steady, then drops to like 78 for a bit, then back up again
