*DONG* Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Okay, this is starting to annoy me. I copied my ET directory from my old computer onto my new one, which is superior to my old one, yet I'm getting about 4-6 FPS while running the game (WTF!? ). Why in the hell would this be happening? can someone enlighten me here as to what is going on!? Quote
Shana Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Tried r_primitives 1 or 2? If yes, then post your pc specs please. 5 Quote
Solution Krusnik87 Posted March 13, 2017 Solution Posted March 13, 2017 This might sounds "stupid", but try out this: -copy your ET key -copy all the maps from etmain folder -erase and uninstall ET -install a fresh copy of ET from our forum or from splashdamage -paste your ET key and maps in your new fresh ET folder -force your your GPU to be used on ET ET is an old game which isn't designed for multicore CPU nor new brand GPU and if you did copy/paste your old ET folder you'll have settings not suited for your new computer. After that, use settings to your heart content (ps why did i bother with all this new install? well 'cause it did solve this problem once by doing this) 2 Quote
Platinum VIP -=HipKat=- Posted March 13, 2017 Platinum VIP Posted March 13, 2017 When you copied your folder, you also copied the files in the profiles folders. Krusnik is correct - new install and restore backed up etkey and silent.dat Quote

I did a fresh install on my new pc and then copied the folder from my old pc into it. Let me give what you recommended a try. Quote
*DONG* Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 I seem to have gotten it squared away with a fresh install, adjusting primitives and disabling GL extensionsI tried the primitives last night and it didnt work, now it does lol thanks guys 2 Quote
